16/9/2020 21:54 | Yip. Why people are taking their rights issue price is beyond me. You will be able to buy well below rights issue price.....just like lloyds and marks n spencers and glencore. They give you reeuced rights issue price making you feel so special...but joe.bloggs will buy for a serious discounted rate at 60p | ![]() spacedust

16/9/2020 20:00 | .88p+.72= 170p fully paid? Does it the old fully paid is trading at 133p is discounted by 37p ? Kindly correct me if I am wrong. Does it mean it is better to sale NIL paid at .72p and buy fully paid at 133p? | ![]() action
16/9/2020 17:59 | LUFTY....the rights take up price is 0.88p according to IAG Registrars and HL. As you say, they are currently quoted at 0.72 | ![]() m1k3y1

16/9/2020 17:37 | It is 0.84 but they were trading at 0.68 earlier although they are now 0.72 (IAGN is the ticker) | lufty
16/9/2020 17:30 | It is two rights for every three shares you held | lufty
16/9/2020 17:20 | Rights should be in your account. If you have 1000 shares of IAG on 11th, you should have 1000 IAGN in your account. | ![]() demo trader
16/9/2020 17:19 | Lufty, sorry I am a bit confused with your 19651 post. I thought the deal for prior holders was: 2 old shares at 194 (last trading day price with rights) + 3 new shares at 0.84 = 640/5 shares = 1.28 If you weren't a holder before ex rights trading on Monday, then you can pick up IAG at 133 + IAGN at 73 (as of tomorrow)? | ![]() lyndon b
16/9/2020 16:54 | Lufty...the rights price is 0.88p I have had confirmed. | ![]() m1k3y1
16/9/2020 16:40 | Maybe an easier way to think of it as follows I can now buy three shares at 1.33 plus two rights at 0.68 giving me my total of four shares costing a total of 5.35 or 1.33 per share as I will end up with four shares on 25th September. Prior holders have three shares worth 1.33 plus two rights costing 0.84 giving a total of four shares costing a total of 5.67 so you pay 0.32 more hence the shares has actually currently lost 10p a share | lufty
16/9/2020 16:29 | Where's our novie trader spacedust? | hodhasharon
16/9/2020 16:27 | Yes because you have to buy at 84p so if they are trading at 67p then you take a loss of 17p per rights issued share. Of course there will be plenty or arbitrage going on between now and the full listing | lufty
16/9/2020 15:54 | I think you have until the 25th to take them up or not. You can sell them at anytime before then (from tomorrow), current price just under 70p. | ![]() lyndon b
16/9/2020 15:27 | If my rights are issued tomorrow presumably I don’t have to purchase them first but could sell them straight into the market? | ![]() kingyon1
16/9/2020 14:40 | I just received corporate notification from Halifax I've accepted for full rights. Rights expected issued tomorrow for trading until 22nd. | ![]() andyadvfn1

16/9/2020 14:17 | I get £1.96 (same as galileo), through: 128.8*5 (total shares) = 644 minus cost of rights = 644 - 252 = 392 (252 comes from 3 x 0.84) divide by two as one original share gave 2 subscription rights = 392/2 = 196p ...hence, the price hasn't budged at all since they went ex-rights! Think the point you are making Lufty is that the IAG(N) price is not 0.84, but currently 0.67....but is the point not that if you had shares pre ex-rights, then you have to take up at 0.84? | ![]() lyndon b
16/9/2020 14:15 | Galileo8, guess I've done the calculation wrong then. I took 3 iagn equated to 2 iag so the current price of the rights had to be multiplied by3 and divided by 2 to get your equivalent price. | pdriccio |
