The only reason IMO why th3 gov didn't add Portugal (38) today was because Ireland is up to 32, now previously anything over 30 would be added.
But the political ramifications and practicalities of banning Ireland would be huge!!!

Portugal and Greece have retained their places on the Government’s quarantine exemption list despite pressure to remove them after a rise in coronavirus cases.

Transport Secretary Grant Shapps this afternoon (September 3) announced there were no changes to the list tomorrow.

However he warned that the list is under 'constant review' and they 'won’t hesitate to remove countries if needed'.

The decision comes after many holidaymakers booked flights home costing up to £554 to avoid a potential quarantine requirement.

Tour operator TUI has said it would no longer be offering holidays to the resort of Laganas on Zante from Thursday.

Holidaymakers across the UK have been left confused after Wales added Portugal to its quarantines list, but England and Scotland did not.

The Azores and Madeira remain exempt from Wales's quarantine list.

Along with Portugal, Wales has removed Gibraltar, French Polynesia and the Greek islands of Mykonos, Zakynthos, Lesvos, Paros and Antiparos and Crete from the list of exempt countries and territories.

Anyone returning to Wales from those countries after 04:00 on Friday must self-isolate for 14 days.

Is there any news on this yet?

Strong recovery play imo, not out of the woods but a survive and thrive play, won’t go up in a straight line of course but I see this has been bottoming out. Long way to go yet but happy to have been accumulating

Portugal likely to be added Thursday and maybe Greece?
What about Ireland, they level or even more than Greece. That would be a shocker.
Anything over 20 is on UK gov radar, and over 30 tends to get put on the 14 day quarantine list.

Will business travel ever be the same?

Secondly, there’s uncertainty as to whether business travel will ever look the same post-Covid-19.

Will companies continue to send their employees overseas for a short meeting? Or will they opt to run meetings via Zoom instead and save thousands? Don’t forget about sustainability. Nearly all companies these days are looking to reduce their carbon footprints.

“I think business travel will never go back to what it was before, when people easily said, ‘I’m going to meet with somebody,’ got on a plane, and did that, without thinking through what the actual meeting was,” said Susan Liechtenstein, managing partner at US-based consultancy firm DigiTravel, recently.

Liechtenstein anticipates that demand might return to about 75% of 2018 levels by 2022. This uncertainty over business travel also adds risk to the investment cases for IAG and EZJ shares.

Are top investors buying IAG and easyJet shares?

Finally, have you seen any top investors stepping in to buy airline stocks?

Top fund managers such as Terry Smith and Nick Train haven’t been buying them. Meanwhile, the world’s greatest investor, Warren Buffett, has offloaded all his airline stocks this year. “The world has changed” for the airlines, he said earlier in 2020.

The fact that top investors are avoiding the airlines suggests that stocks like IAG and EZJ may not be bargains after all.

Testing doesn't increase hospitalizations, nearly 1000 in one day in Spain in that article. Deaths follow weeks or months after that.
