Have a look at how many deaths. It’s still pretty much Zero. Looks like the “right people” plus extra/more effective testing is the cause.

Because the rights issue is now not going to be as big as originally planned. Share price moves tell you everything

Great to see the increase over the last couple of weeks. Would be nice to have another spike up like we had after the initial big drop.

American Airlines began 2020 with 140,000 employees, they're now saying they will end the year with no more than 100,000 employees, a reduction of at least 40,000 in their staff numbers.

Virgin Atlantic was thrown a lifeline on Tuesday after creditors backed a £1.2bn rescue deal to help it through the Covid-19 crisis. The company said 99% of trade creditors, each of whom is owed more than £50,000 by the airline, approved the deal at a High Court hearing in London, easily surpassing the 75% threshold of total money owed. Each creditor will receive 80% of the money owed by Virgin Atlantic which will be paid in instalments. Another UK court hearing will take place on September 2 to approve the plan, and a procedural hearing will take place in the US a day later.

Please do your own research as always.

Well, we will see in the morning.

Virgin Atlantic has won backing from its creditors for a £1.2bn rescue plan that will secure its future for at least the next 18 months.

Do you see a big impact on the share price if the high court rules in favour of Virgin Atlantic today re. the bailout package?

Smart money pouring into global markets, these pull backs have been more “gifts from the gods”, if you play the long game.

Monitoring the share price before the rights issue leak and after the official announcement plus the share volatility of the share going over £3 my best guess is £1.50 to £1.60 a share then this needs adjusting for the confidence level movement relating to Covid-19 which I think is generally less optimistic for international travel so I reckon £1.40 to £1.50 a share which is old money would be £2.80 to £3.00 a share. I think the threat of stroke action will have no effect on the rights issue.

My guess a 1 for 1 at 125p. But surely won't get a rights issue underwritten if industrial action.

What price this rights issue ? If they can get anyone to underwrite one.

hxxps://www.headforpoints.com/2020/08/24/balpa-infighting/

So, looks like the most expensive pilots were kept on in preference to the cheapest. Wonder how long BALPA can keep this up if there is a second round of redundancies?

Seems a bit of a wasted opportunity to be honest.

Airline running at 40, 50, 60 or 70% capacity surely are loss making? And how long will that level continue?

I only have a few shares, not chucking any more money in until after the issue made. It's rare that you don't get the subsequent opportunity to buy in the open market at issue price, or just below.
Plus need some covid resolution.

I would not invest until post any share issue and subsequent dilution. Or clarity that it's not going to happen.
If there are likely to be double, or more, number of shares in issue, then the share price will not recover in the short or medium term.
See Lloyds Bank, etc.
