Because that would put nearly a million people in intensive care? Just a guess.

I do not understand this delay policy.
From the published data it looks tempting to let everyone mix catch the virus and be done with it by autumn.

Flattening the curve means that most of us will catch it, but more slowly.
prolong the agony.

I don’t. Reckon second third quarters will be subdued then get better with pent up demand once confidence recovers. Im expecting one or two majors to fold/restructure and the european regional market will look like a nuclear waste ground that IAG will fill pretty quickly once the market starts to recover. The key as WW has said is not to reduce short notice available capacity to benefit from the return in trade when it happens. A lot of conferences have been postponed. I reckon a lot of operational cost reductions will have been put in place. Yep cash flow Limited, but reckon we will see a profit for 2020-21, with overall average ticket price increases as a result of limited capacity.

The P/E for IAG is one of the best in the industry, with greater than even odds in my view that position will significantly increase in the next 6 months. A lot of gold sat in cash at the mo in pensions and investment funds in the sidelines, plus Qatar, plus other large institutional investors.

I see massive loss this year for IAG, at least they will survive.

The problem with the Italians, Spanish and the French they almost always kiss and hug each other every time they just say hello, even if it is to a person they do not know.

I hear from an inside source school closures happening possibly today. But it's a friends sisters mates second cousin sort of thing.

Containment depends on the attitude of the citizens, if they refuse to constrain their frivolous behaviour then maybe, but the lives of them and their forebearers depend upon it. Situation dire because of the stress on health care providers, not the infected as such. Children being pretty much the carriers, as symptoms relatively obscure in them, best to shut all schools and further education full-stop and ask people to restrict their movements except to purchase food and attend work!

German Bonds now -1% yield.

Amazed to see these highly paid buffoons on CNBC thinking there is a solution.

NHS, I heard the same sh1ye in 2008. If I had listened, I wouldn’t now be mortgage free.

SINCE WE ARE BACK AT 2008 levels , I can only assume, your house has since been reprocessed.

Thus your mortgage free

The US CDC virus expert saying this is going into the summer and possibly still around in Autumn. Not great, but a good opportunity to pile into the stronger airlines and let the ones with week balance sheets go.

Fortunately the flight MOSCOW to LHR is on today but speaking to their help desk things are crazy and everyday big changes. They are in survival mode but fortunately unlike some competitors they have a good level of liquidity for now. But how long they can operate if it continues at this level without getting any worse ?

Day traders will be making a killing on this. If you'd bought iag every time it went 10pc down and sold the next day you'd have made a packet.

I like BA but got out some weeks ago. This will be sub £3 and if continues into April then sub £2 is arriving too. But I’m convinced they will survive and be one of the winners into next years. I may buy in at some point for capital gain if it goes sub £2, as Im sure I will double my capital in 2021
