55% of Americans own stocks directly or through funds.

Prior to the 1929 crash 20% Americans did.

Today’s depression will set the US back 20 years as three generations get a full blown kicking,

Massive stock losses followed immediately by unimaginable unemployment.

I'm firmly sitting on my hands.
Be carefull rushing in to buy IMO.
What if this causes a lot of debt for a floated business?
There are many options to raise capital to repay the debts.

Ps, did long haul airport tax go up yesterday?

This event is about to cause a shed load of capacity to be removed from the market, one that is notoriously difficult to get in.

The survivors, more dynamic, adaptable will quickly establish greater control over the global airline industry.

I'm pretty sure American Airlines is likely to be the first big casualty amongst US airlines. Struggling to survive with all their debt, this will probably send them into bankruptcy.Cash

I’m talking about passenger travel

Not important stuff like freight and medical supplies

Have you ever seen on the news the traffic that flows through the Channel Tunnel from France to England or Dover's freight port?

A travel ban there would be absolutely impossible outside of a full wartime scenario.

Good point! Although they wouldn't do it if they didn't think it was coming back.

Doubt they are buying because it is good value, most likely tax reasons!

Always a comfort when directors buy.
I remember the chairman of RBS buying a huge number of shares during the financial crisis.

That was enough for me, I topped up.
Almost lost the lot.

Ian Conn of Centrica bought lots of shares last year, followed by a collapse.

There are many examples, these directors are often in denial.
