Yes it has, unfortunately 99.9999% of the worlds population can’t yet see it yet.

Eventually they will.

Mankind is facing a pandemic of unimaginable magnitude and suffering, combined with a world drowning in debt, that has zero chance of being repaid.

It is absolutely vital that you put family first , particular children

We are not far off, forced sellers of ALL ASSETS, (bar Gold , for immediate delivery)

Paper gold, might as well be flushed down the toilet.

I have no predictions on the outcome of this terrible virus.

I do have some predictions on the likely financial outcomes

1/ Most shares are not far off worthless as profits will be extinguished for years, even then, investors might pay a pe of 3 for the the best growth stocks.

2/ Most bonds ( company and government ) worthless as everyone defaults.

3/ House Tiny values after banks go bust and stop lending. No one has a job.

4/ Land for food production has some value but needs to be protected.

Trust in business goes down the pan in a straight line, world trade dries up as everyone wants to be paid up front.

The only medium of exchange for goods and services that CAN BE TRUSTED BY ALL is, GOLD.

No one wants printed sheets of toilet paper. ( money

It’s about to turn on a sixpence.

Governments will furnish the world with yet more, free cash, but they can’t control the mindset of the people, or the virus.

From now on, it’s about staying alive and doing your bit for others

QIA will be buying into this big time, likely they will take their holding right up to the 30% threshold, people on these threads tend to spout because they are bystanders, if you believe the global system is going to implode then I suggest they think more about saying goodbye to their friends and family, instead of being doomsayers. It would be a waste of precious time left if posting here was the only thing that mattered!

The American routes for BA was the savour for BA, now that's closed. Big loss I forecast. Shareprice going lower could see 295p.

Force Majure. A lot of insurance firms will be going under too if they were to pay out. Be interested to see if there are any major moves in insurance company prices.

I’m expecting central bank intervention soon. This is rapidly turning into a liquidity issue. You can see that from Gilt and Bond prices. This has the potential to go deflationary in a big way if it’s not gripped.

Coupled with the debt maturity profile of IAG, I have not studied their different securities, only that IAG is one of the strongest airlines in the business!

Prepaid monies is an issue for all airlines. Its the desperate that'll suffer. IAG, ezj, DTG and rya have strong balance sheets. Not sure about the other smaller players.

Norwegian is heading into bankruptcy.

There is an element off course, that is a question only the company knows, I think that there will be assistance for many businesses in this situation, but what we do know the world needs an airline industry, so do you think that the IAG’s are not in a strong position to weather this storm. Does catastrophe insurance apply to any of these situations? And is a pandemic actually categorised under this.

How mich of that cash in the bank is prepaid money by customers who may have their flights cancelled and then their money needs returning to them?

Are you stupid, net cash was well over €6bln at last results, look at the facts, you clearly have not got a clue, if that is how you analyse figures, and massive net assets. All those 747’s can keep flying as fuel even with hedges cheap, and they are basically depreciated to zero.

Profit after tax before exceptional
items (EUR million) 2,387
Adjusted earnings per share (EUR cents) 116.8
======================================== =========
Net debt (EUR million) 7,571
Net debt to EBITDA 1.4

The longer this drags on, the more the Net Debt becomes an issue, no ?

We have restrictions already in place, but anything can happen, it would mean closing the Eurotunnel to passengers, stopping all ferries, and sailing between countries. Is it necessary, anything is, but what about rigorous testing, getting travellers to have an up to date certificate of health. But the situation very fluid!
