"test them BEFORE be they fly back"

Who will test them?
Will a rushed test be reliable? What about corruption?

eg
2 million Brits go to Spain in July.

At what point would they be tested? Where would these thousands of passengers waiting for their results wait?
What would happen to a family member who is tested +ve. Who would pay for them to be quarantined aboard and pay for the rescheduled return flights? What if it's a family of 4/6?

Will flights wait until their passengers have received the results?

with a 14 day incubation period tests won't always show a +ve result but the virus is still contageous, so passengers and flight crew could get infected?

What about on the plane, trays, toilet handles, remote controls ??? so a person could be -ve before the flight and catch the virus on the plane...

Very complicated isn't it?

Why do you chaps not understand

THE INCUBATION IS 14 DAYS FOR THE VIRUS

So if you test on departure day it's no use wakey wakey

Test in the UK after flying back do you mean? ... Hardly seems right if so. You can't let a symptomatic passenger onboard and then test them when they've landed... risking exposure to crews and other passengers? Maybe I've misinterpreted your message

Running at a serious loss with only 20% of seats occupied. Even if you doubled the price of the seat!

"This about minimising risk"

The 14 day quarantine is about minimising risk as well and is a start..
