By Wednesday of this week, the number of virus cases, on a pro rata basis, in South Korea will have overtaken CHINA.

(South Korea tells the truth .)

This is unequivocal evidence that the Chinese official numbers are Totally false.

This true virus infection rate, is 10, 50,100, or 1,000 Times higher, than the world has been told by the Chinese.

Numbers today

China 1.3BN POPULATION Virus cases 80,000

South Korea 50 Million Virus cases 3,000

The with the common flu if x amount of people get it then over 650,000 die, true.
But the reason the authorities are going nuts and locking down places to control it is becasue this coronavirus strain kills 10x as many as the common fly.
So if the same x amount of people catch coronavirus the statistics say that there will be over 6.5 million deaths.
That is the whole reason for isplatimg it, similar with sars, that had a 10% death rate but was contained to a far greater extent.

Does amaze me that some people think the share price of a FTSE company the size of IAG can be influenced by posts on ADVFN.Can understand it a little with AIM stocks but seeing it on BP, VOD and IAG does make me chuckle sometimes

The common flu causes up to 5 million cases of severe illness worldwide and kills up to 650,000 people every year, according to the World Health Organization

'The common flu is far deadlier'.

Mankind has been totally overwhelmed by the virus.

The death rate is a lagging the statistic, by a mile.

The dreadful, horrible truth, will expose to the world, how the Chinese have tricked us all, into believing the spread of the virus is contained, with an accompanying low fatality rate.

This stunning revelation will come to light in the first 14 days of March.

The worlds population are about to override government actions by closing borders to protect themselves.

The only planes in the sky by 13/03/20 will be Aid and Military.

NPP62, just to keep it factual, based upon published figures, it's not 1-2% death rate, it's over 3%.

Cases = 85,207
Deaths = 2,924
Ratio = 3.43%

Can anyone confirm this ???
(But I guess there are probably more cases unknown, but going on official figures, the above is correct)
And this makes it x10 more fatalities than standard flu)

Evening, I also hold your sensible pov, and hope we are on the right track going forward. I should have said I refer to 1NHS and Spacedust. They are probably fast asleep now and dreaming of many more negative permutations ! Best wishes.

No negativity from me! I'll say again... There won't be a vaccine for at least 12 months. Not a chance. However this is just another strain of flu. SARS (different but still a virus) had an 8?% mortality rate and we didn't have all this fuss. This has a 1-2% mortality rate. Normal flu kills 100-200 people a year in this country and there's never a sniff of panic! Let's have some perspective! I'm in at 469, and happy to add on the inevitable weakness knowing that this price will look like a bargain in 12 months time!

DOW rallied to just 1.3% down actually. As far as I know the North Pole isn't a continent as it's an ice flow. No land underneath. Antarctica is a continent however.... More Geography lessons tomorrow :-)

In how many countries

Jeez to compare the 2 is ridiculous. Thus damn virus is growing every day it's now in every single continent apart from the north pole.

Some thing doesn't feel right about this virus. Lots of lies.

The market is telling you the truth. Dow to collapse in last 5mins

Next week is going to be far worse than the last.

Reason

Death rates start to jump outside China.

Look for heaps more deaths from the cruise ship to show up

5 out of 600; so far.

never ceases to amaze me the number of shorters on this BB who are happy to see IAG shares collapse. Indeed the further they fall, the happier they appear to be.

Guess they won't be happy until they see IAG collapse completely, then they will move on to another company....if they haven't already.

People still not getting it . This is basically a flu virus .
Mild flu symptoms for most people.
This panic is caused by the media and the markets.

Yes all abroad right now is for extremely brave people.

What a bloodbath which is just the tip of the iceberg. Next week will see the biggest drops of the decade.

Double digit declines and when you think it's hit the bottom you then start to think again

A large proportion of the British population have the weekend off.

I believe this may be the last few days to prepare for the inevitable before mass panic.

My free simple advice is to do the following.

Draw as much cash out per day from your bank as you can.

Go food shopping for foods that store for two years, and that you would normally eat.

Get long term medication ( not easy on the NHS for more than 3 months.)

Buy heating fuel ( that you normally use ) dry timber / gas bottles f...
