16/11/2006 10:25 | WJC I am with you on the significance of this announcement and the very good news is that there are only a handful of ADVFN members onboard at this stage!!!!! With only one broker write-up, and there must be others in the pipe-line, this stock really does have the potential to fly. And as I said before the chart is looking one of the most bullish I have seen for a long time. | aphrodites
16/11/2006 10:12 | Doh ! for selling 1/3rd of my holding at 53p (but slept happier). Wahoo ! for the remaining 2/3 which is now staying put. Thanks to everyone who posted all the detail on this stock back in 2004/05. | yump
16/11/2006 09:50 | WJ, Any indication of what royalty IGP will take away from each card? G. | garth
16/11/2006 09:49 | Actually I think this is the most significant PIV announcement we've had. I'm pretty sure they're talking about the NBC SSP contract with IBM. NBC (National Business Center) has signed up 17 agencies for their SSP offering. GSA, the other government SSP had signed up 40 with BearingPoint and Gemalto. The interesting thing is that the GSA contract was purely about enrollment i.e. issuing PIV cards as fast as possible to allow the agencies to qualify for HSPD-12. The NBC offering on the other hand went a lot further - it included tailoring to each agency's requirements to fit in with their Human Resources systems. While Bell's AndIS (used by Gemalto Safesite Government) is a good system for large scale deployments, it is not as easily integratable as MyID which is why I think IGP is working on the NBC contract. What that means is whereas the GSA contract with BearingPoint and Gemalto is now being recompeted (mainly on price terms), IGP probably add a lot more value to the NBC offering. It will be interesting to see what happens with GSA - now the deadline has passed, they may lose several agencies to the NBC with their more complex but ultimately more useful offering. There is also a possibility that the NBC GSA offerings are merged though I doubt that since the Government wants competition. Interims in a month. Wouldn't surprise me if they were still loss-making - but next year is really shaping up to be an exciting time IMHO. | wjccghcc
16/11/2006 09:35 | Here we are up nearly 20% on only 10,000 shares traded. A colleague who runs a "Small Company" fund has been trying to buy stock since the set-back to 46p and has been unable to buy any size. He was not prepared to pay 56p when he was offered a line of 100,000 shares. The market price then was 48-52! It just goes to show you have to pay a premium if you want to get into a company like this. I wouldn't mind putting money on a company involved in security showing an interest in this now that contracts are starting to emerge. And as we saw from the Queens Speech yesterday the emphasis on security is likely to be with us for generations to come. Probably, a good one to add to if the MM's try to pull the share price back again over the next few days. | aphrodites
16/11/2006 09:32 | The Queen's speech yesterday revealed that a compulsory identity card scheme will soon be introduced for the UK. Does anyone know what the implications of this are for IGP? This might already have been covered here, but a summary would help. | mangal
16/11/2006 09:23 | Exposure at last- amongst the top-% risers today. A lot more to come, I think. | mangal
16/11/2006 09:07 | 8.37am and the afx version... Intercede wins US government contract for identity verification LONDON (AFX) - Intercede Group PLC said a US government department has selected its MyID technology for the implementation of the Homeland Security Presidential Directive-12 (HSPD-12), which covers the provision of ID for all federal employees and contractors. Intercede's MyID software manages the secure registration, issuance and lifecycle of digital identities. The first fully compliant personal identity verification card using this solution was produced by the agency on Oct 26, the company said in a statement. Intercede said it is expected that almost 8 mln identity cards will be issued under the HSPD-12 programme and that industry analysts Stanford Group value the total cost at about 1.3 bln usd. | rambutan2
16/11/2006 07:35 | SmartMoney Very exciting news and clearly they have a lot more to shout about. It will be interesting to see if the seller is still around at the 54/55p level after this news! | aphrodites
16/11/2006 07:34 | Very nice to see Cybertrust added to the list of partners. I particularly like this bit which shows there's a number of contracts they're not allowed to talk about - I wonder if it's the IBM SSP with the NIC? Intercede is currently working with a number of partners, including a large HSPD-12 service provider, for the provision of additional PIV solutions to a range of other US Federal agencies. "We are delighted to be teaming with acknowledged market leaders to deliver one of the first, fully operational HSPD-12 deployments to a significant US Federal Government Agency. Along with our partners, Intercede is committed to making HSPD-12 a success across US Government," said Richard Parris, Chairman & Chief Executive of Intercede. He further added "I was pleased to be in Washington last week to celebrate with a number of Agencies who used Intercede's MyID technology to meet their HSPD-12 deadlines" | wjccghcc
16/11/2006 07:32 | :-) They're gagging to tell us more: "I was pleased to be in Washington last week to celebrate with a number of Agencies who used Intercede's MyID technology to meet their HSPD-12 deadlines" | smartmoney100
16/11/2006 07:14 | New US Government Contract RNS Number:1773M Intercede Group PLC 16 November 2006 16 November 2006 INTERCEDE GROUP plc ('Intercede' or 'the Company') US Government Department Selects Intercede's MyID Technology Intercede, in collaboration with Cybertrust and other partners, has been selected to deliver a solution to enable an executive US Government Department to meet the deadlines for Personal Identity Verification (PIV), as specified in Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD-12). The first fully compliant PIV card using this solution was successful produced by the Agency on October 26, 2006. The Department's decision to use Intercede's MyID technology in its HSPD-12 solution follows the similar selection by the US Environmental Protection Agency, announced on 9 October 2006. He further added "I was pleased to be in Washington last week to celebrate with a number of Agencies who used Intercede's MyID technology to meet their HSPD-12 deadlines" "This is a perfect example of a federal agency that, by combining government-approved products with leading solutions providers, has met its compliance challenge head-on," said Stijn Bijnens, senior vice president of identity management, Cybertrust. "We're pleased to work with partners like Intercede on this project." About HSPD-12 HSPD-12 is one of the most important and high profile security directives of recent years. It required, firstly, the creation of an official federal standard (FIPS-201) for Personal Identity Verification (PIV), which would prescribe technologies and processes for the effective vetting and access control of all federal employees and contractors. The second requirement of HSPD-12 was for every US Federal Agency to have implemented a PIV solution by October 27, 2006, with all employees and contractors required to have a personal FIPS-201 compliant, smart card based, PIV identity card one year later. Each of these cards will be issued and managed using a management system such as MyID. All HSPD-12 solutions must by mandate only incorporate products that have been exhaustively tested against by the US General Services Administration (GSA), and included in the GSA's Approved Product List for PIV products. Intercede announced on 4 October 2006 that it had become the first product in its category to achieve this coveted status. It is estimated that almost 8 million identity cards will be issued under this programme. Industry analysts Stanford Group estimate the total value of the programme to be worth approximately US$1.3 billion. About Intercede Intercede Group plc is a leading developer and supplier of smart card and identity management software listed on the London Stock Exchange (IGP LN) (IGP.L). The Group's MyID software manages the secure registration, issuance and lifecycle of digital identities for a wide range of uses. This requires the integration of multiple technologies and products from many different vendors, including smart cards, biometrics, digital certificates and Open Platform applets. 14/11/2006 12:03 | igoe The tick-up has only been on very, very small volume. If the company broker has a buyer he was been unable to get any meaningful size when the MM's tried to shake the tree amd the price down to 46p. It is quite clear that one MM has a seller around the 54/55p level. It will be interesting to see if any reasonable size comes out around this level. My guess is the seller will not be there this time and if we go through 60p then we could be off and up to the 80/90p range. | aphrodites
14/11/2006 11:39 | Nice little tick up this morning. i,m expecting a rise in the share price,as results come upon us. i,m expecting the igp to make a small profit, (that delayed payment will help the cause,) also expecting more rns on more usa government contract wins. | igoe104

08/11/2006 18:32 | Been checking out msystems web site , i reckon myid could be involved with the banking side of things, to help with identity theft. (it would be a big market to get into) With the rise of identity theft, phishing and other online fraud, there is a strong need to offer portable, user-friendly smart card-enabled platform for seamless two-factor authentication and security services, such as digital signature and data encryption.By plugging mToken into any connected computer with a USB slot and authenticating with a password, the customer gains easy access to applications, account information and enterprise and retail resources. Data stored on mToken is always encrypted with its smart card cryptographic key while additional on-device security layers protect the user from online identity theft. | igoe104
08/11/2006 10:26 | first time i've seem them use this description - that MyID thing sounds rather good! About MyID Enroll. Issue. Revoke. Update. Maintain. MyID manages the entire lifecycle of identities. MyID is the ultimate identity convergence platform, uniting smart cards and other identity devices with; Biometrics, public key infrastructure (PKI), physical access control software (PACS), authentication and single sign-on (SSO) systems, provisioning systems, plus directories and HR systems. MyID enables anyone to quickly consolidate multiple credentials onto a single device, such as msystems mToken, for use in a wide array of secure multi-application identity solutions. | rambutan2

08/11/2006 08:37 | Morning all Igoe Seen your post about the industry in general and IDD in particular (with reference to newsman) and I agree with you. In my own humble opinion IDD is not a player in a national ID card scheme It will pick up on other card schemes (like the recent pay-as-you-go credit card) but not the biggy ID card market | lobby3 |
