18/1/2007 11:30 | WB - no new news - good luck with the barn aquisition. I think we can expect a good rise in reposessions in the next couple of years, I might be tempted back into property myself if the price is right. | thecurrymonster
18/1/2007 11:27 | CM. Got a problem, the part finished barn next to mine was repossessed on Tuesday and I expect to hear the asking price in a day or two, I'm keen on it, to add to my place and make it 7 bedrooms with just over an acre so I'm trying to draw in funds as I'll have trouble getting a conventional mortgage. The answer is no, not yet, still thinking, any new news? | wild bill
18/1/2007 09:19 | Wild Bill, Did you buy some MED, or are you still thinking about it? | thecurrymonster
18/1/2007 09:01 | Let's see if more follow today..... | wild bill
18/1/2007 07:53 | Wild Bill, by the time you factor in stamp duty and fees, they look pretty close to £10k chunks of stock, which might explain the unusual numbers. | thecurrymonster
17/1/2007 20:59 | Both buys though? | wild bill
17/1/2007 20:55 | Same block of stock I think. | bookbroker
17/1/2007 20:13 | Trades of 27481 and 27591 making 55072? Unusual amount, more to follow? | wild bill
16/1/2007 12:05 | Very wide spread emerging here, is this a prelude to a mark-up, are mms short of stock. | bookbroker

12/1/2007 09:11 | I just found this link, which shows a couple of pictures of MED's Eyescreen - there's not many pictures around, even on MED's website, so this is quite interesting. | thecurrymonster
12/1/2007 08:42 | Wild Bill, Enjoy Japan - Tokyo is a great city. Check out Roppongi if you are looking for some evening entertainment! | thecurrymonster

12/1/2007 08:31 | I'm going to Japan, I'll keep my eyes open..... | wild bill
11/1/2007 17:15 | Wild Bill, I spend quite a lot of time in Seoul, and TV on mobiles is now pretty common there, and has been for the last year or so. Japan has lagged behind Korea, but they launched their mobile TV service (called OneSeg) in April last year. | thecurrymonster
11/1/2007 16:51 | IAOUTFLS = In And Out Unless The Fundamentals Look Solid? Close or miles off? CM = Have you seen this in Japan, "it is a common sight to see Japanese and Korean commuters watching TV while travelling to work on the subway?" WB | wild bill
11/1/2007 13:41 | callumross - your 7500 trade is now showing up - just a bit late that's all. | thecurrymonster
11/1/2007 12:43 | IAOUTFLS and TCM - Many thanks for the references. Will read them carefully. Was also wondering if this device could be used in hospitals? If there are a host of applications worldwide, the share price could eventually take off like Indigovison. Good luck! | mo123
11/1/2007 12:10 | Hi Mo123, From the placing announcement document last year: The high- volume electronic view finder ('EVF') market, including camcorders, digital still cameras ('DSCs') and digital video cameras ('DVCs'), continues to present an important target market for MED. The Directors believe that the advantages of P-OLED technology could over time enable MED to take a share of this market. The Company intends to re-engage with tier one suppliers in the EVF market once the Company's volume manufacturing arrangements are operational. In addition, the Directors believe that there are further potential markets for MED's product. These include industrial, medical and communications applications. For example, eyescreen(TM) is currently being evaluated for potential use in thermal imaging equipment and is also undergoing approval for use in a medical product. So there are obviously other uses for the technology - I guess the sky's the limit really. As far as references go, the only major delivered order so far was 13,000 units delivered to a Hong Kong manufacturer for inclusion in night-vision binoculars. These were intended for the 'leisure market', but obviously this is another potential military/defence application. | thecurrymonster
11/1/2007 12:09 | Mo123, No reason why not...not specific to MED but in terms of general military thinking this article is quite interesting: Note they say the sensors are proprietary to military, but they expect more indirect viewing...that is where Microemissive's display technology could fit in. Lower power, more integrated, higher resolution, more robust all sound relevant features. | iaoutfls
11/1/2007 11:48 | Anyone know if this device can be used in a security or defence setting or knows a reference site? Just watching at the moment but trying to establish the devices scope of application. | mo123
11/1/2007 11:27 | callumross, welcome aboard - it looks like you've helped reverse todays little dip too. | thecurrymonster
11/1/2007 11:23 | that's me in for an initial purchase of 7500 at 32p although strangely the trade is not showing yet - been on my watch list for a while. | callumross |
