TCM, greetings from Yunnan!

Even in the remotest areas in Ethnic west Yunnan there are Internet cafe. China is booming big time still.

I have every good faith in our MED.

Cheers and regards,

Hi CurryMonster,

I like curry dishes. Have you tasted the curries of India and Thailand?

I'm not too clear on MED's technology yet and hope to learn more as we go along. Genrally speaking, I rate MED's German plant, recent results and strength of sp, HK manufacturer (low cost), etc.

welcome on board ppowerscourt - a good switch from LED I think. Probably just as risky, but at least it's a real company. Call me a cynic, but LED being a Chinese company and I had trouble even finding a website for them - it doesn't bode well for financial (or any other) transparency IMHO. I think the whole Chinese AIM thing is a disaster waiting to happen, and many of the people who made a fortune on SOLA will probably lose the lot on other speculative Chinese 'investments'.

One sale of 2717sh. can bring or rather brought the share price down.

I have taken an initial purchase a week ago. I switched from LED to buy here because MED is very much cutting edge.

TCM, you seem to hit the nail on the head every time, you said not to mortgage the farm (I live on a farm) now you tell me not to count my chickens, how did you know we had five hens?

All good omens I believe.....

Wild Bill - Do you mean here, or everywhere in general?

I'm certainly not reading anything into the falls here in the last couple of days, just nervous holders selling out - probably selling out across the board, especially if they've made some short term gains here in the last couple of months.
It also wouldn't surprise me if there were a few who were hoping for a miracle in the results, who may have been dissapointed.

To be honest, I haven't even bothered to look at the trade data to see what the volumes are. As far as I am concerned, everything is still on track, and it's time to just sit back and wait for things to happen (hopefully good things, but don't count your chickens, as it may be a bumpy ride).

A brief demo from Barcelona of the Personal Display Glasses from Mobintech:-

somewhat more informative than the girl who according to Wild Bill, "From the way she leans forward 1.7 degrees it's plain to see she's sitting (on a bale of straw actually, hence the background)."

Cracking article in the Scotsman:

With volume sales expected to start in the second half of the year, MED is aiming to be cash positive by the end of this year, and profitable in 2008.

"We're confident of being well ahead of break-even in 2008,"

Agreed no surprises either way -the focus on becoming "cash generative" is what I like to read so am happy things are moving nicely in the right direction

Prelims out today:

Looks OK to me, about as expected really.

Overall this bodes well for the future of the Company. Our strategy to complete the volume manufacturing facility is progressing in line with expectations and the qualification and integration of the Dresden site is on schedule. The manufacturing unit, once up and running, will enable MED to realise the value of the growing number of volume orders and enquires we have received.

The management team remains focused on the completion of the volume manufacturing line and is confident that the strategy for building substantial
sales and becoming cash generative is now in place. The board are grateful to
our loyal shareholders who have been very supportive during the development of
our Company and are determined to create significant value for them over the
coming years.

Everything seems to still be on track to me.

The financial results for the year were ahead of the Board's expectations and I am pleased to report that the operating loss for the second half of the year showed improvement over the first half of the year.

Been looking back through the recent news releases for MED and at the Level 2 shareholdings list - for a company this size MED has a very big institution shareholders list - presume they must have heard a fairly convincing message as tech stocks are still by no means flavour of the month with institutions despite clear signs of a recovery having now started in that Sector

Excellent article in Electronics Weekley about microdisplays by Ian Underwood from Microemissive:

Worth a read by anybody interested in the advantages of P-OLED technology.
