Back into IMB today. Been a nice little earner for me in the past and looks attractive at current valuation with excellent quarterly dividend.

And this..

Market report..

Big Tobacco shares went up in smoke as the decline in cigarettes sales in the US gathered pace and the Food and Drug Administration launched another inquiry into e-cigarettes.

The recovery in Imperial Brands and British American Tobacco shares suffered a setback after Nielsen data revealed that cigarette sales in the States slumped 8.8pc year on year in the four weeks to March 23.

The deterioration from last year’s 5pc decline revived City fears that smokers are continuing to kick the habit as e-cigarette sales skyrocket

35 but maybe more . Sounds statsically insignificant. I bet far more people suffer a seizure at the gym or whilst sipping coffee. Ban gyms and coffee too perhaps....

Nah - This is the reason:

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration on Wednesday said it is investigating a possible link between the use of e-cigarettes and seizures.

The agency said it has identified 35 reported cases of seizures following the use of e-cigarettes since 2010, particularly among youth and young adults, but it said there may be more instances that haven't been reported.

"We want to be clear that we don't yet know if there's a direct relationship between the use of e-cigarettes and a risk of seizure," the FDA said, adding that the reported cases "warrant scientific investigation."

The FDA in March month announced new restrictions on retail sales of e-cigarettes in the fruity and sweet flavors the agency said appeal to youngsters.

If underage use continues to increase, the agency could institute an outright ban on devices such as Juul's, FDA chief Scott Gottlieb said at the time.

Dr. Gottlieb, who has announced plans to step down from the agency, repeated that warning on Tuesday in an interview with CBS News.

Market report:

Imperial brands and British American Tobacco were in the red after US Food and Drug Administration commissioner Scott Gottlieb, who is due to step down on 5 April, said in Washington on Tuesday that a nicotine ruling is likely to be ready by the summer. He did not specifically promise a menthol ban, but he did say the FDA may consider pulling pod-based e-cigarettes.
