14/7/2022 11:52 | Dow still above pre covid high so expect it to fall a lot further yet. | darrin1471
13/7/2022 18:33 | I think the DOW will get down to 29k at some point, slowly marched down, prob next .75% FED raise will get it there. Then I think markets will turn more positive, well certainly oversold stocks bought. | hamhamham1
13/7/2022 17:49 | Peeps are funny. Trading shares is harder than it looks. Buy and hold for several years is a stress free technique for me (just time your entry, I never lucky enough to catch the bottom). Just buy a broad selection of shares with varying risk rewards. Some get oveloaded on a single 'get rich quick' hopeful share, that's a slippery slope to the law of diminishing returns. | hamhamham1
13/7/2022 16:00 | IGR was my biggest until last month, then I found opportunity in CURY as solid company so sold most of it with profit and invested in CURY which I expect to surge by end of this month but kept little in here | blackhorse23
13/7/2022 15:40 | Blachorse, Not posted here for a while the share price doubled from it's bottom, some have made a pretty tidy some of money but is the steam now running out? Looks like Blachorse23 has taken his profits ? Mind I don't know what the spread has been so taking account of any spread will diminish any profits. US inflation was higher than forecasts any retail stocks in this market a big risk particularly when we are facing a global recession. | debsdowner
13/7/2022 15:29 | And it's nearly at it's 12 month low! Lol | orkneyarab
13/7/2022 15:28 | My biggest holdings is CURY atm , final dividend on 4th @ 2.15p , share buy back program launched of 75 millions pounds , that's around 100 millions shares | blackhorse23
12/7/2022 11:28 | Current markets are turn off computer and come back later in the year, Putin holds the key, until he taken the 2 regions completely, then he'll talk peace, hopefully. | hamhamham1
12/7/2022 08:39 | Good morning all. Ham1, that £1 resistance has held here so far. Twice I think. Maybe today or tomorrow we will break through it I hope. Wishing you luck with your portfolio.I am topping up my THG holding. It is the largest one in my portfolio.I am going be top heavy in THG on the 19th. I hope the price stays as it is there. | bwana4
11/7/2022 17:41 | 2 Spanish fireman, Hose A and Hose B. | hamhamham1
11/7/2022 17:40 | When markets suck, they suck. Ho Hum. 3 yrs time treble my portfolio value, in my world :) | hamhamham1
11/7/2022 13:44 | Just not much to say here, no news, I bought plenty, and am happy with the moves so far, but little or no news to discuss. | hamhamham1
11/7/2022 13:16 | IGR thread guys. | time 2 retire
11/7/2022 13:03 | LUCE also good business IMO, they recently bought a couple of businesses for cash. | hamhamham1
11/7/2022 13:02 | I have a few THG and BOO. | hamhamham1
11/7/2022 09:08 | Good morning all. True Ham1. It all depends on the Co. and the BoD. With a bad BoD it does not matter how good the product etc,yes many things effect the share price of a Co. I am big into THG because I am an investor and not a jam tomorrow investor. Any high street retailer I would not touch with a barge pole. ATB | bwana4
11/7/2022 07:02 | I find it's seems easier to get a company's market cap from 100m to 500m or 1bn. Than to go from 0.5bn or 1bn to several billion. A bit of a stupid statement by me really as many things effect an sp, buy smaller market caps can move quicker i guess. :) | hamhamham1
10/7/2022 13:53 | JUNE was a successful month for IGR after surging 100 percentage , JULY I believe CURY will surge 100-200 percentage , after company announced 75 millions share buy back program which will reduce shares by around 100 millions from its listing & market , also paying dividend FY 3.15p . CURY shares floating is very low which will give encouraging share price hiking for shareholders | blackhorse23
08/7/2022 10:47 | Well Put Ham1. How true a statement by you. Ha,Ha. :-0)) | bwana4
08/7/2022 06:23 | Will have a look, but I try and look for value shares, well shares which have come down a lot hopefully because of general market and will recover. Ie not having to set new highs, just reach say 70% of recent highs, but hey, if I chase a lot of ambulances them I'll be going to the occasional funeral :0 | hamhamham1
08/7/2022 03:12 | Ham1. You are a good guy. I don't usually recommend shares. I have three shares in my portfolio that I hold and I sleep very well holding them. They all also pay dividends. Well I call them volture shares. They are into liquidations and mergers etc. BEG.FRP and K3C. Beg results out on the 19th of this month. These results in a way it will be a bench mark for the other two. K3C is more into mergers, it has a high spread as not so many shares out there in the market. FRP plods along the way. These are definatly worth putting on your watch list IMO. Please DYOR as I am not qualified to advice anyone. Oh' my portfolio is down also but by only 8.7 %. This changes everyday too. Let's see how IGR preforms next. ATB. PS. Apologies in advance re O/T. | bwana4
07/7/2022 11:28 | Ben Wallace gone from 8/1 to 3/1 in last few mins, coz of some members poll I think. He is reasonably pro Europe so markets would like that, but long way to go. | hamhamham1
07/7/2022 09:42 | I think UK markets will rise on Bojo news, if it's clear and timelines stated, and not too long, several months would be pointless. Put Raab as caretaker from next week till new one chosen IMO Markets hate not knowing, now they know he is gone, a new PM will rebuild bridges with EU, I think the EU will offer an olive branch to UK, they will try and show the problem wasn't them, and pin it on Boris as an individual. | hamhamham1
07/7/2022 09:40 | Plan not buying Currys, just they were good results, and yes historic, and they do give warning about the future. Not a buy for me, but they not a basket case. FT headline: "Currys lowers profit forecast for this year and next" | hamhamham1 |
