There's nothing going on with IGR, this board would be a tumbleweed.
When news comes we will discuss.

Lots of plastic junk everywhere, but it's up to individual people to make that choice

REVB. Was on my list to investigate this weekend due to Boo stake but I ran out of time.
I have added some investment thoughts to the MRK thread.

Just bought 46.5k x REVB shares. Not bad for approx 8-9k IMO.
(But time will tell)

Example, but I am not recommending investing in FCH, just saying where I put a punt.
And it is my worst performer to date by a long chalk :(

Noted. But a lot of FCH is lining up lenders with borrowers and taking an upfront commission.

FCH. I do not like the sector again. FCH often offer me a business loan via a letter. I do not borrow and have no credit history in the businesses beyond utilities. I would be concerned about the quality of their lending book.
Small businesses are going to struggle with energy bills as discussed on wrks thread

Just bought another 10k of funding circle, FCH, doubled my stake and offset by bad, as it seems now, buy in the 70s.

For the decade pre 2020 I was a bit to passive in my investing. I had other things to do. I saw covid coming and sold before the crash but missed the bounce as I was not in touch with what was going on.
Like most things in life it is difficult to do them well unless you are going to put the time in.

But the world is full of potential slip up events nowadays, not quite so clear.

Only invested in a smaller scale before 2020, but yes similar. Knew we were at the end of a massive 10 yr bull run, av is 7-8 yrs, just never knew what the black swan event would be to drop the market.
Once it dropped, saw the opportunity. Went larger.

ham. Did you have a similar strategy pre 2020?

My plan is to be all cash within 3-4 years, after hopefully a good bull run starting within the next year.

But I seem to hold a few still at or near multiyear lows, not sure what that says :) But I did buy cheap.

If any shares I have are at multiyear highs, I may sell those.

And yes, next 12 month's could be weak markets, but there will come a time when they turn, I am just no good at judging ins and outs, so maybe to my own risk, I just an holding and doing the odd reshuffle when opportunity occurs.

I was all cash early 2020, but been fully invested since then.
As shares double or better, I sell them off, then reinvest in other potential bargains.
I have some boring shares which give divis, I sometimes sell a few of these if I need to make the most of a bargain that appears.
I prob should be a percentage cash, but am invested for the medium term, so willing to ride the dips.
I can get hold of cash from savings account if needed, so that's kinda like having cash, but don't really want to invest that cash.

ham. Jupiter. Another good looking distressed share. Not one I could hope to understand in any depth. Opinion would have to be based on the wider sector.

IMO wage inflation will continue into 2023 leading to ever higher interest rates. Leaving less money to be spent on financial investments and weaker markets.

ham. Do you ever move into cash and are you fully invested now?

darrin1471

Yeah. I see what you mean.
In another share, sorry all, anyone looked at Jupiter? I bought a few at 121p.
Obviously it went down, but who calls the bottom? :)
