Having broken through the support over the last 2 days, the next line is about 960p. And to think I almost sold at 995p and decided to hold for the divi. Some people will never learn!!!

Never meant it as a dig at you at all ken;-) just felt the target on the breakout of 998p was premature as there were other overheads already live and the round number 10 quid if you get what I'm trying to say.

Tech - As you have seen when I updated the fib chart this evening, I missed off the next target of 1001p. I've altered the scale to show it now.

I'm actually sitting here hoping to get 1013p before the XD or 995p after.

Goes Ex-div next week, so every chance of a fair bit if buying between now and then.
Though as HSBC pay dividends quarterly I suppose the dividend factor, is likely to be a little less.

So do I just felt it was a bit premature to looking to extentions of rallies before it brokeout. There are some close live possible fib overheads not to mention 10 quid round number. I'm sure it will be overcome but will wait and see how she plays right now;-)

Ken... I read your posts about HSBA and have this bb on my favourites!

I believe HSBA to be a good long term investment and will be around here for a good while.

We've really crashed though the support line today and we'll need a rise of at least 10p tomorrow to regain it.

Still judging by the enthusiasm on here, it doesn't look as if anybody cares except for me!!!

been tipped and upgraded every day this week by someone or other... but mostly traded in Hong Kong which is why sometimes she seems out of step with the other banks here..

I been watching the old banks closer of late more looking for a correction rather than upside right now although I am bullish the market medium term. The latest rally has not broken out yet and the price is still contained within that long intraday bar,yep she could well pop the high very soon but there are some possible fib reistance levels that are already live that I have been watching. They are all within 15p of each which is pretty good confluence,if she gets though them then that should become a pretty damn strong support area.
If you go back to the 2003 low when hsba started to motor to the high same year,61.8% of that whole rally will take you to just above 1103p the all time high is around 1095p.That would be a good target to aim for I reckon.

Lets hope the investors think the same... Friday is not a TA projection... but it IS my wish projection ... LOL!
launch date for the new charting package is very soon.. within a few weeks... As chief tester my list for amendments is long... and if we waited for them all it would never be launched so I have given and A list and a B list!
All will be revealed soon... which package do you use?

Thanks for the chart Supermum. We all wait now for the secret new charts to emerge.

HSBC was the stockpick on Bloomberg Money this morning, so that should give us a bit of help on Monday morning.

Ken.. I'm glad you asked that .. cos I'm beta testing some charts for another organisation and as they haven't been launched yet I can't post them here..
or indeed anywhere else yet! so its back to my old fave... Sharescope, and I actually get 1046 as an extention of its previous rise. (so maybe its highlighted a little anomoly!)I also like the way the 38.2% retracement has acted as good support on the uptrend line. Ihave no doubt about the direction.... only the time factor for my warrants!

Supermum - I'm always interested in other peoples targets. Is there any chance that you might post your fib chart for us to look at?

Thanks and I hope you are right, because I'm planning to sell a third of mine at 1013p (995p after the divi) on the way up.

yes and a shocking spread ... as I have already posted onthe warrants thread. I am in at 1p and didn't take the 1.37 I was offered!.. so I am a bit annoyed with myself ... nay, I have VERY sore shins on on this one... STUPID trading..!
could have made loads more! 1039... for Friday.. thats my fib target.. but I wont mind if it goes a shade over to 1045! and some good trading on Friday morning.. I shall get my steel wotsits out for that day!

Supermum,

Hope your target is reached as I've been buying the SA53 warrant on dips all week as an out an out high risk/high reward gamble. I'm pretty hopeful of somewhere in the region of 1045p.

This would give the warrants a value of 4.5p compared to the 0.9p they are to buy tonight.

Good luck

Tompo.
