11/10/2013 11:09 | Well sar10 I viewed the end of Watchdog on BBC I player and can confirm the show is on next Wednesday! An interesting show it will be I hope! | ![]() kendonagasaki
11/10/2013 10:26 | Well whether this is true or not a quick Google search shows that they have investigated Halfords before in 2009 so although I'm not holding my breath (no offence Kendonagasaki - that's some name!) I wouldn't be surprised. GL whether you are long or short. | ![]() sar10
10/10/2013 20:54 | Truth hurts some people I think? The truth will always come out in the end! | ![]() kendonagasaki

09/10/2013 22:52 | Robbie Burns!Thank you for all your seminars and your books!Never needed them myself but thanks for providing a level edged playing field.I followed your advice on halfords and think it will be crash and burn time very soon. However I must confess that my alert box tonight has gone ballistic.....why? 16 emails from my brother in law.Well apparently.....not my words, but the BBC watchdog programme thingy majig with that woman Fanny Robinson sort, states that.........GET READY FOR THIS.......!All appears not to be apparently well within the house of halfords that's HFD to you and me.Now from what I can asses at this moment in time is that Watchdog is indeed investigating Halfords Auto-centres next Wednesday on their most very fine programme of investigative journalism!?What ever they have done allegedly or not have done at this moment in time is information that none of us are aware of.However the old saying states where's there's smoke most certainly a fire does usually follow!I wonder what halfords have been up to or not up to?One thing is for sure, it will make most splendid televised coverage. Well that brings me back to the other small thing, I do hope the top man at halfords auto centres will be available for interview??????Well I'm shocked that such a splendid FTSE 200 business has put itself in such a predicament if that is to be the case.It will be most shocking indeed if any of these so said rumours at this stage show any meaningful inclination that halfords auto centres have not delivered the so called Master Plan. The plan that a young master Davis has put into fruition most vigouresly as he stated all dividends to major share holders would be drastically cut. Over to you Matt???????????????? | ![]() kendonagasaki
09/10/2013 11:23 | Yep nice short working out here, plus don't know if you follow naked trader Robbie burns but he's got this down as a short, v successful trader. | ![]() 11023154
09/10/2013 06:56 | This warm September and October must have affected bulbs, batteries and wipers sales over the last 6 weeks?Bikes will have slown down and sales very slow!Company expenditure rising and dividend declining and no increase in substantial profits until 2016?????I'd say its a sell! | ![]() kendonagasaki
08/10/2013 10:04 | Keep them shorts rolling boys! | ![]() kendonagasaki
08/10/2013 09:09 | Stop your shares being loaned for shorting.....this was taken from a CFD site There are two things you can do, the first is to certificate them but this is not obviously to everyone's advantage but the alternative solution is simple. All you do is to phone your broker and put an order in saying that you wish to place your shares for sale at, for arguments sake, double today's price. As they are 'on order' they cannot be lent out by your broker and in turn you are reducing the amount of 'free shares' out there that can be used for shorting purposes. And don't forget to move your limit order up when the price starts to recover, then, that way your shares can't be shorted - not much but helps. Although an individual personal investor will not normally have enough shares to halt a concerted shorting attack, if a large number of holders did this it would reduce the overall amount of shares that they could get their hands on. Well worth doing if not only for the knowledge that your own shares cannot and will not be used in a short attack against the very share that you own. | ![]() cgee1
07/10/2013 14:27 | Well it won't be good new IMO.Keep them shorts rolling! | ![]() kendonagasaki

04/10/2013 08:55 | Been trying to get past 405 a few times now. Has been struggling. Looking good for short. | ![]() 11023154
03/10/2013 08:14 | Sell em now and don't lose anymore money in this funny company. I wonder why they never announced that the chief of the auto centres is leaving the business????????Why? | ![]() kendonagasaki
03/10/2013 08:13 | Says everywhere they have a trading announcement 3rd October 2013..... Maybe it's not an RNS, just a presentation... | ![]() edmate
03/10/2013 08:10 | Halfords are announcing results on the 7 November. There is no pre trading statement to come as far as I'm aware.Probably need to hold back the bad news for as long as they can if you ask me! | ![]() kendonagasaki
03/10/2013 08:06 | Am I being stupid? Was there not a trading statement RNS due today?? | ![]() edmate
02/10/2013 23:27 | Hard to call this one. Wouldn't be surprised if it was a poor statement, but then wouldn't be surprised if it was positive either. I myself shorted this a week ago at 396. Fingers crossed. | ![]() edmate
02/10/2013 22:06 | Parts are cheaper online, even the Supermarkets offer the basic car stuff. Why go to Halfords? | ![]() lennonsalive
02/10/2013 20:32 | Naked trader and traderdiarycouk both shortinh halfords | birdsedgeuk
01/10/2013 21:49 | Lots of very negative vibes here I see. I have heard, second hand, that halfords have been trading well over the summer months. We are due a trading update in the next week or so that should make things clearer. As ever DYOR | ![]() sketchley
01/10/2013 07:34 | Pas100, "the naked trader is shorting this share" agreed that is indeed not the kind of reassurance any halfords investor is looking for. Common sense would indicate a sell now in this trading range and buy back in only if there is a glimmer of a recovery for them. They are priced far to high for current trading trajectory IMHO. | ![]() kendonagasaki
30/9/2013 20:36 | my Mum wants a Victoria Pendleton bike, not sure what this means for future sales | el chupacabra |
