01/11/2018 13:26 | You can almost set your watch by it! | woodhawk
01/11/2018 13:10 | Should get the rise upwards now. | hubshank
01/11/2018 10:48 | WMH and 888 both up over 4%, GVC down 1%? Another 12.30pm intraday reversal? | woodhawk
31/10/2018 15:38 | Their position. To maintain it. | woodhawk
31/10/2018 12:34 | Hi Woodhawk, Interesting suggestion. What would they be hedging and for what purpose? | maddox
31/10/2018 12:04 | GAN waking up. +5.77%. | fizzypop
31/10/2018 11:23 | Maddox - could simply be using short for hedging purposes. | woodhawk
31/10/2018 10:14 | Great recovery in the share price in-progress - which is probably being helped by shorters covering their positions. It appears that they were expecting a far worse Budget for the online gambling firms. I see that AHL Partners LLP reduced their short position by 0.04% on the 26th and it'll be interesting to see what happens to the remaining 1.41%. With the uncertainty removed and the trading updates and integration all going well I'd like to understand what underpins their stance? Perhaps another dodgy report is due out? Any suggestions? Cheers Maddox | maddox
31/10/2018 09:32 | The city like the deal but Hills probably in play also But good to see them being aggressive after messing up the 888 deal | trentendboy
31/10/2018 09:31 | William Hill up over 8% today now! | woodhawk
31/10/2018 09:25 | Very interesting Mr Green news from William Hills. It shows that consolidation is still happening and will speed up. At the current price GVC could be a target for the US big boys. GVC still cheap for the land casinos in the US. They MUST be looking at taking GVC out. The premium on Green was LARGE. Puts GVCs price in perspective. Hmm, tempting to get more | trentendboy
31/10/2018 09:25 | Hi Fizzy, out of HGM and SCPA still with IGGy and, of course, GVC! | woodhawk
31/10/2018 09:21 | I held a lot of LAD shares so I guess I miss the 35p but.... GVC keep the money... hmmmm. Still, glad I got more in the 800s - already showing a tasty profit but really, this is trivial compared to where the GVC share price could go to. Not reason not to test recent highs this year. | trentendboy
31/10/2018 09:21 | Hi Woody. Yep if we can close above 960p today esp as FTSE looking stronger. Still with HGM, SCPA and Iggy. | fizzypop
31/10/2018 09:00 | Breakout from the 3-month downtrend imminent? | woodhawk
31/10/2018 08:50 | It is not a cap until the bill is approved by the parliament.... | nurdin
31/10/2018 08:47 | I do not know why these pension funds are complaining, by not giving this extra 35p will mean higher dividends and better capital growth form the GVC shares now held by these pension funds | loganair
31/10/2018 08:45 | I thought is was based on the level of the FOBT cap? It was £2 and it still is £2. | woodhawk
31/10/2018 08:36 | ...It was also announced in the Budget that implementation of the cut in FOBT stakes would be delayed until next October to coincide with the rise in remote gaming duty. It was originally expected to come in during April 2019 to coincide with the new tax year. This raises an important question for shareholders in Ladbrokes, which was sold to UK gambling group GVC in March. According to contingencies in the acquisition deal, payment of profits gained by GVC from Ladbrokes’ FOBT terminals to former Ladbrokes shareholders will be determined by when MPs vote to enact the changes to the FOBT stakes. If the vote happens before midnight on March 27 2019, one year after completion of the acquisition, Ladbrokes shareholders will receive no payment. However, if it takes place after, GVC will be expected to give shareholders a £700m payout. In a report on the deal in June, Jeffrey Cope, an analyst at Stifel, said the caveat was “alienating&rd | speedsgh

30/10/2018 21:05 | Also, https://calvinayre.c | coxsmn
30/10/2018 20:34 | Yes, thanks coxsmn, I was just reading about that! "Julian Buhagiar, co-founder of specialist gaming industry brokerage RB Capital...expects to see dominant igaming operators claim even more market share as a result." and "“We fully expect this Budget decision to be a catalyst for increased M&A which will start as early as the first quarter of next year, and for already dominant brands to further strengthen their positions by capitalising early on these buy-side opportunities.” | woodhawk
30/10/2018 20:30 | Wood, the big players likely to take more market share squeezing out smaller operators as a result of the budget increasehttps://www. | coxsmn
30/10/2018 20:19 | The DJIA seems to be playing ball today - closing up 400+ points. Let's hope we're heading back to a GVC share price of 1000p+ in the near future. | woodhawk
30/10/2018 20:17 | Agreed, good news and removes uncertainty. | coxsmn |
