I understand that the CVRs are worthless if the legislation is implemented by April 2019.

Brief article on the BBC today that some MPs are trying to get a debate/possible vote on some amendment to move the Fobt limit reduction to Apr-19. As you can see from my vague language I don't follow this b closely but this will likely create more noise in the run up to is happening and possibly increase volatility. Who knows if this will force Hammond to make a u-turn...

It's still absurdly undervalued. I believe that at this price it now represents an excellent opportunity, for traders and long term investors alike

Well let's hope so. I took at few at 905 and 875 a few days ago thinking decent value and a bundle more today at 762 which seemed absurdly cheap. So far I'm on the wrong side of all three!

Hold your nerve guys - it's all getting very panicky on here. The fundamental growth story remains intact, their taking market share in all their key markets, the Ladbrokes integration 'couldn't be going any better' and then there is the prospect of the US market.

GVC weren't even expecting an extra sim months of FOBT - short-term issue at the worst.

Mr Market will come to his senses - you'll think these prices are a gift.

Regards Maddox

Perfect storm of regulation tightening. I think the general impression is that the US opportunity is not as strong in the short term as first thought. This latest leg down is obviously due to British politicians likely getting their way on bringing forward the £2 limit. This is my biggest holding and I'm not enjoying the sell off but am concentrating on the longer term. GVC are very well run and these regulatory issues will likely cause more consolidation in the sector.
