13/12/2024 06:45 | So if they want the overall budget passed ( which they need to authorise expenditure) then they need the Kurds on board. Which means opening the pipeline. | highlander7
13/12/2024 06:23 | Board may, at its discretion and without the sanction of a Resolution (i) authorise the purchase by the Company of its own shares for cancellation or acquire them as Treasury Shares in accordance with the Companies Acts on such terms as the Board shall think fit and (ii) exercise all the powers of the Company to purchase or acquire all or any part of its own shares in accordance with the Companies Acts."2019 | bang_gone
13/12/2024 06:16 | I can't remember whether it was 4/5 years ago but they had an AGM resolution passed that gave the Board the power to acquire shares on any basis or terms they saw fit without further resolution, so its possible gkp #gkptakeover @PeelHunt + Cannacord MAY have actually on book since Oct 8 When finished they pass a large block trade thru to @Gulf_Keystone ??May explain no daily buy RNS which could have made share price leap as retail followed suit , making it very expensive Let?s see. | bang_gone
13/12/2024 03:52 | Iraqi Business News IRAQ PARLIAMENT ENDS YEAR WITH NO KURDISTAN OIL DEAL By Charles Kennedy - Dec 10, 2024, The Iraqi parliament ended this year’s session without finalizing a deal with the semi-autonomous region of Kurdistan for the exports of crude oil from the northern region. According to local media, the deal was to be debated last Thursday, along with several other topics, but since then no update regarding any decision on the deal has been issued, suggesting the Iraqi parliament has delayed the final decision on the deal for January when the new parliamentary session will begin. One report by Shafaq said that the topic of Kurdish oil exports had led to a deadlock among members of parliament who could not reach an agreement about the compensation that Baghdad would owe the Kurdish government for the costs of producing and transporting the oil. The difference of opinion prompted the Kurdish parliamentarians to withdraw from the discussion, effectively ending it. | highlander7
12/12/2024 23:36 | BBBS always saw what was really important , like the Hunt slide showing AB and Smirit drills sharing a huge aquifer, proven on pressure testing. Bodes well for the Permian at Shaikan. That's where the high pressure is coming from. | nestoframpers

12/12/2024 19:44 | Sadly I read this today! If I've understood correctly they must report transactions within 7 trading days. Although as stated they have always reported the following day. https://www.handbook | kevc67
12/12/2024 19:26 | Whilst nothing is impossible here, it is probably fairly unlikely. Every time they have ever purchased shares in the past they have published the next day. I'm not sure if they are bound to do this by the market but regardless, I think unlikely. Personally, I think they purchased the 16k so they could say the share buyback was 'ongoing' in any updates, whilst the real reason for the share buyback is anyone's guess. Certainly plenty of speculation but I don't know. Just my thoughts. Hopefully the icg can get their act together in the meantime. | oilermam

12/12/2024 18:18 | "no proof that the Courts have changed their minds on the illegal PSC's!!" Three things there Sarah:- a) - Why did the ICG never revoke the contracts and decide to negotiate instead, a negotiation that is holding up the country's entire national budget. b) - Why did the Prime Minister confirm to parliament and the world the rulings of the International Courts of Arbitration that the contracts are legal and cannot be revoked. c) - And why do you still think that the contracts are illegal. And as you're suddenly so keen on proof, we'd all like to see you post up something to support this:- "Didn't BBBS come clean at a later date and admit telling porkies about the field?" | habshan
12/12/2024 18:04 | "Kirkuk's big brother" lol, lol, lol. Didn't BBBS come clean at a later date and admit telling porkies about the field? You gullible suckers don't think he was trading the share do you? Meanwhile, no 2nd reading, no vote, no budget agreement, no offers and no proof that the Courts have changed their minds on the illegal PSC's!! As for Baghdad being cut out of any deal for the ITP in September, that's a classic!! | bigdog5

12/12/2024 16:52 | That is one hell of a UT. Indeed, 480,148, shown as a sell on here and a buy on LSE. Pitiful volume all day with buys exceeding sells by almost 2 to 1 and the share price clearly being held down. Then that pops up. Something going on | habshan

12/12/2024 15:56 | Might speed them up. Iraqi Parliament faces dissolution threat over legislative gridlock Iraq Breaking Parliament Legislative Gridlock Iraqi Parliament faces dissolution threat over legislative gridlock 2024-12-12 15:32 Font Shafaq News/ Independent MP Mohammed Al-Ziyadi has voiced intentions to submit a formal request for early elections and the dissolution of Iraq’s current parliament, citing its failure to pass critical and contentious legislation. Al-Ziyadi explained to Shafaq News Agency, "During the extended legislative term, the House of Representatives was unable to pass significant and disputed laws," criticizing the "inability of political bloc leaders to manage sessions effectively," and describing the situation as "a failure to serve both citizens and the nation." "If the legislative role of the House of Representatives remains stalled beyond the holiday and into the next legislative term, we will collect signatures to demand early elections and end this parliament," he warmed, stressing the urgency of "addressing this stagnation, proposing amendments to the election law and the setting of a date for new legislative elections after the legislative holiday." The legislative deadlock came to a head on December 8, when the House of Representatives failed to hold its regular session No. 20 to vote on pivotal laws. These included amendments to Personal Status Law No. 188 of 1959, the return of properties confiscated by decisions of the dissolved Revolutionary Command Council, and the second amendment to the General Amnesty Law No. 27 of 2016. Despite a 30-day extension of the legislative term starting November 7, parliament was unable to resolve these contentious issues, deferring them to the next term. The legislative holiday officially began on December 9 and will continue until January 9, 2025, as stipulated by Article 58 of the Iraqi Constitution. Political analyst Saif Al-Saadi noted that "the extended term’s failure to yield progress further eroded confidence in the legislative body’s ability to function effectively. The lack of consensus and persistent inefficiency have left critical laws in limbo | beernut1
