09/12/2024 07:58 | Posible a top up time incoming. I'm just holding til the end. Ps maybe the buy backs could be invoked if the prices drops by much. | petebreeze37
09/12/2024 06:14 | .....meanwhile GKP will just carry on earning good cash and paying large Divis but this was predictable and probably means the agreement is closer than peeps think,it's how those medieval tumblers roll They can deflect all they like the outcome will be the same imo. Kirkuk needs cleaning up and needs a pipeline and Europe needs Oil and Gas and Greater Shaikan needs the 7 sisters. GLA. | fairenough11
09/12/2024 06:02 | Hard to say. I've still got my divi if so. Be interesting to see if the buybacks kick in if it does get driven down to the 125 area. | shortsqueezer
09/12/2024 04:13 | I thought they still had today before the session closes ? I also thought Sudani was holding all the cards. There are also conflicting stories as to what is actually going on. I assume nothing. There is a lot at stake here. If BP cancels the deal then the INOCs will have 2nd thoughts about investing. | highlander7
08/12/2024 22:07 | I can understand it has again been put on the back burner with the events in Syria over the weekend... the ICG/KRG like always are not exactly transparent in regard to what is happening with the second reading / vote that was meant to take place. Like I said it may offer us with significant holdings to top up again if as is likely there is another dividend before anything gets passed/resolved. I am also waiting and wondering what happened regarding the buyback and when the quarterly ops update will appear.... I am expecting the standard "the company is still expecting the ITP to reopen at some point and backpayments to be made" though :P | mmt1

08/12/2024 21:00 | 'But that latest excuse about them still working on it has Maliki's fingerprints all over it, why would a law that still needed to be worked on be sent to parliament for a vote.' Exactly, it's delay and delay, the first reading is done, they're trying to reset it back to square one, or they're unhappy at the levels of backhanders worked into it. | confused _gerbill

08/12/2024 20:38 | Kev - "Any ideas?" Yes. Within the last hour we have this:- "The Iraqi Parliament's Finance Committee, Chairman Atwan Atwani met with the head of the Iraqi Financial Supervision Bureau to discuss the issue of oil exports from the Kurdistan Region, the financial entitlements of oil companies, and biometrics. Atwani said that they are working on amending the budget to address the issue between the Kurdistan Regional Government and the federal government concerning oil exports." And yesterday we had this:- "The delay seems to be orchestrated by former Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki's bloc, amid an intense power struggle between al-Maliki and the current Iraqi Prime Minister. Atwan al-Watwani, head of the Iraqi Parliament's Finance Committee and a close ally of al-Maliki, orchestrated the removal of the bill's second reading from the parliamentary agenda." Today we are told that Atwan al-Watwani, head of the Iraqi Parliament's Finance Committee said that the delay is because they are still working on the amendment, while yesterday we had a report implying that the same guy had it removed because he is a close ally of Maliki who is in a power struggle with Sudani. So who knows what's going on. But that latest excuse about them still working on it has Maliki's fingerprints all over it, why would a law that still needed to be worked on be sent to parliament for a vote. It is possible of course that the close ally of Maliki bit is irrelevant and the reporter simply made the connection to put a spin on his story. He says "the delay SEEMS to be orchestrated by Maliki's bloc" so he doesn't actually know. And it's also possible that after the 1st reading it was correctly argued that the $16 per barrel proposal tells you absolutely nothing because the independent consultant could and probably would fix the price a lot higher. If I was an Iraqi politician I wouldn't have approved it either because like them I wouldn't have had a clue what I was voting for. As Caggins said, "the $16 proposal is a start", I imagine the politicians at the 1st reading agreed and like APIKUR would want to see the final numbers before voting on it. But APIKUR won't be pumping any oil until they've agreed the final numbers that's for sure. | habshan

08/12/2024 19:27 | From mid December and this is the third meeting to read the amendment to mid January. ( Thanks Kev not you and Big thanks for your input) But wonder if some translation or decision is wrong. Or do they have a one month fest sometime now. Just be our luck. This Bi tch is going to drag us through to hell and back. | beernut1

08/12/2024 19:04 | Not ramping or deramping this stock at all, just calling out the idiot/s who keep saying this company is sold, when I know it's not and so do the GKP board, ask them then they may educate you .! | tri harder |
