11/12/2024 12:33 | Thursday. Tomorrow ? Will it be 2 nd reading also? KRG: We have fulfilled our commitments, waiting for Baghdad to fund the salaries of employees Kurdistan KRG Salary Delays KRG: We have fulfilled our commitments, waiting for Baghdad to fund the salaries of employees 2024-12-11 12:10 Font Shafaq News/ On Wednesday, the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) reiterated its fulfillment of financial obligations, emphasizing that it is now waiting for Baghdad to provide the necessary funding to pay employee salaries. The KRG announced in a statement that "the KRG continues its efforts with the federal government to provide financial entitlements for employees, and it is awaiting the transfer of salaries for the months of October, November, and December at the earliest opportunity." The regional government’s council also called on the federal government in Baghdad to find a permanent solution to the salary deficit issue in its next session, which will be held in Baghdad on Thursday, in accordance with the powers granted to it and under Article 60 of the Iraqi Public Budget Law | beernut1

11/12/2024 11:37 | SP Angel Analysts this morning Gulf Keystone Petroleum (GKP LN) 140p, Market Cap £304m: Operational update Gulf Keystone reported average YTD24 gross production of 40.2kb/d from the onshore Kurdistan Shaikan Field (80% WI, 36% net entitlement) and a current cash balance of $95m. Following disruptions due to the Kurdistan parliamentary elections in October and the planned PF-1 shutdown in November, Shaikan field gross production has been ramped back up to 46kb/d. Gulf Keystone continues to optimise well production rates to avoid traces of water and manage field declines estimated at 6-10% per year, with net 2024 capital of $20m and $7m monthly cost guidance reiterated. The Company is finalising the 2025 work programme and expects to provide capital and cost guidance next month, with activity levels expected to be similar to this year. Gulf Keystone continues to tread water from a financial and operations standpoint, with stable production levels that generate ongoing free cash flow that has enables $55m of aggregate YTD24 dividends and share buybacks. The Company remains ready to restart exports, contingent upon reaching agreements on payment surety for future oil exports, the repayment of $150m outstanding exports sales receivables and the preservation of contract economics. An amendment to the Iraqi 2023-2025 Budget Law regarding compensation for Kurdistan’s oil production and transportation costs is subject to approval by the Iraqi Parliament, which is expected to return from recess in January. However, while management remains focused on its operations in Kurdistan, ahead of a restart to export pipeline operations Gulf keystone’s near-term options to realise Shaikan’s substantial reserves base remain limited though the cash on its balance sheet may provide leverage for transformational M&A. | plasybryn

11/12/2024 10:14 | I'm looking forward to the next dividend review in March 2025 which IMO we may be pleasantly surprised by.Why?, well Wlwith 110 days until 31 March 2025 and using very conservative figures of 34,500bopd (December gross average production per day - we are now at 46k) and $27 bbl, GKP set to earn approx $102 million. Minus from this monthly ops ($7 million) and averaged annual capex costs (circa $2 million per month), brings total costs in the region of $33 million which should leave (on paper at least!) circa $70 million profit. Happy to be corrected here if others disagree with these figures. We have $95 million in the bank as of yesterday. Obviously a lot can change in the next 3 months (for the better and the worse) but I'm quietly confident it will be a nice payout and significantly larger than the $10 million Divi paid in July 24. Happy to be contradicted. All adds to the debate!! | northbuckslocal

11/12/2024 08:53 | Oh look - the company is in a holding pattern, maintaining financial discipline as they navigate a tricky macro-economic situation. They are showing prudence and patience and rewarding long term holders as best they can. As any good BoD should ... Amazed they did not mention the sale they agreed 10-5-2-1 years ago that is going to complete in the next two weeks (BANG GONE SOLD BY XMAS TAKE IT TO THE BANK) What could be the reason?????????? | antondec |
