17/4/2018 09:38 | Surely you mean dinosaurs eating people? I was on the Jurassic Park ride at Universal Orlando at the weekend. It is a very enduring franchise and this game looks great. | mad foetus
16/4/2018 20:56 | I seem to remember requests for people eating dinosaurs: at 16:56 Edit - yeah, other way around. | hpcg
15/4/2018 10:57 | Steamspy no longer able to operate hxxps://www.polygon. Great shame for us. Was very useful to those of us who used it to measure the sales success of Planet Coaster. | ck1111
13/4/2018 16:38 | Nice finish | haggishunter
13/4/2018 14:18 | Took profit this morning. Still not sure where the US market will lead us. | bamboo2
12/4/2018 16:03 | nimbo, I need to average down my overall price if possible, 12.30 is above my average. Market for fdev does still seem quite disorderly. | bamboo2
12/4/2018 15:54 | There are over 3000 available at 12.30, try again and you’ll be fine! I bought back half my trading shares. Too early, paid 12.40. What I’m interesting I’m hearing now is an update on China strategy for the game. The recent stuff dealt with the West. As far as I can tell the film doesn’t have a release date yet I’m china. | nimbo1
12/4/2018 15:30 | Lol. Lower historical support on my daily chart is centred on 1200. Didn't expect it to be tested today. I'm still hopeful for an update next week. :) edit, just tried to add on the dip at 15:32, most available was 100. | bamboo2
12/4/2018 15:07 | Ah i wondered where all those sells came from yesterday afternoon. ; ) | nimbo1
12/4/2018 15:04 | I have been extremely fortunate in my timing in that I sold all my FDEV yesterday at a very small profit, because of wider market concerns. I have got space for more if we get another dip. | bamboo2
12/4/2018 14:53 | Thanks. If you'd like to buy a few more that would be much appreciated. :-) | mark4231
12/4/2018 14:53 | GL. I've been thinking about it - there is a large sell for over 7000 shares at 12.40 which has been dragging this down all day. good support between 11.70 - 12 on buy side as you'd expect from the chart. | nimbo1
12/4/2018 14:24 | Bought quite a few. | bamboo2
10/4/2018 12:56 | I don't think we can read much into the position of the game in the sales list to be honest. Just nice that at least some people are pre-ordering. I watch the Steam Top Sellers list and from that can get an idea of what is popular, how well things are selling but even then I have no idea how that list is actually calculated or how many units 22nd place or whatever actually is. | mark4231
10/4/2018 11:06 | I have only really been interested in game sales since owning FDEV. I think physical sales for the amazon store will be much lower than through the online playstation store. (Margins are higher to FDEV via digital sales and I think many buyers use steam / online stores etc). You can see on amazon where other pre release games sit in the table - some of the large Activision blizzard pre releases make up the top 10 etc. The important thing for me is the snapshot view providing a little insight that the game has potential to go mainstream. It also provides the opportunity for more people to see it. Viewers of the you tube footage at the moment are liking the content - as mark said they are 90% positive. Beyond that all we need is some marketing and the weight of the film and we should get some decent results. | nimbo1
10/4/2018 10:58 | nimbo1 et al Please forgive my ignorance but is it usual for a game, not due to be released for another 12 weeks, to be this high up the Amazon best seller list? | shanklin
10/4/2018 10:53 | Mark, you'll notice on amazon FDEV now climbed to 11 in playstation. Not bad really when you look at the games around it. Also I imagine this will get much more hype with the film. Look at the comments ref this - the people most excited by the game are loving it. hxxps://www.reddit.c | nimbo1
09/4/2018 17:22 | I'm hoping for a multi-player Battle Royale mode as that seems to be the gaming flavour of the month - the park is over run by dinosaurs, the last survivor is the winner. :-) | mark4231
09/4/2018 17:11 | Hi Mark I agree with all of that. There have been quite a few posts online about lack of blood etc and people saying they want their dinosaurs to eat people. In many of the demos none of this was shown. This in game footage below gives me confidence that if you let a T.Rex out of the enclosure it will do some damage. And one clip between dinosaurs did show blood (although not good quality, i think the version they played was an earlier development build). The early comments from these potential customers are important as obviously I want the game to satisfy as many people as possible. Watch from 16 mins. I just ordered a disk version - I will try playing it but I plan on hanging it in the downstairs loo when this hits £30 +, Hopefully ; ) | nimbo1
09/4/2018 16:57 | Thanks nimbo. Xbox One sales on Amazon are currently at number 30. All signs for JWE are extremely good I think, the enthusiasm shown online for a Jurassic game of this type and the alignment of the game's release with Fallen Kingdom. The reaction to the demos has been excellent and seems to have reached a much larger potential audience than Planet Coaster. There are some concerns raised on forums but I would say that 90% of comments are positive. The potential for DLC and expansions down the line is also good. As the demos were in a controlled environment there is still some risk that there are game killing bugs or something we don't see but I think (hope!) that it is unlikely. How I'm looking at it is that Planet Coaster has done pretty well and I find it very difficult to see why JWE shouldn't do much better, probably much, much better - particularly as JWE is on three platforms rather than Planet Coaster's one. What I also like is that, using the Steam Top Sellers list, that Planet Coaster and Elite Dangerous still seem to be selling pretty well - including the Planet Coaster DLC, new and old. Mark, suffering from confirmation bias. - Google Trends comparison of Jurassic World Evolution and "Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom". | mark4231
09/4/2018 16:07 | You can get a picture for how pre sales are going for playstation through the physical sales on ps4 game section on amazon. Currently at 16. However this of course is only amazon and does not include the online playstation store. hxxps://www.amazon.c | nimbo1
09/4/2018 15:57 | Those FarCry5 steam numbers look about right. Steam will be tracking a decent proportion of PC sales. It wont cover console sales. | phowdo
09/4/2018 15:50 | shows 728k sales currently, so presumably it only picks up a small proportion of total sales? | shanklin
09/4/2018 15:33 | hxxps://www.pcgamer. Quite interesting to see the big name far cry hit 5 million sales in the first week...thats over $310 million of revenue. I am not suggesting FDEV will achieve anything like that, merely pointing out how strong the market is for major games. The price FDEV are charging for JWE is the same ballpark as Farcry. i.e. they hope to have created a truly premium experience game. The major risk now is the game is rubbish, which i hope won't happen given how promising the early gameplay reviews have been even if some tweaks were needed. | nimbo1 |
