09/4/2018 08:01 | Steamspy has a figure around 8800 on sales. Is this daily or in total? If it's daily it's around 60000 so far. The reason I ask is that it figure when down on Sat. | haggishunter
09/4/2018 07:30 | suggests the selling price is $54.99 | shanklin
08/4/2018 12:45 | This was the analysts guess but they state they didn't know and it is just a guess. Obviously game is being sold for more than a headline price of £33. Figure 5: Royalty assumptions Figure 6: Outperformance potential JW sales £’m 0 – 25 25 – 50 50 - Royalty %* 10% 15% 20% Source: finnCap. *Royalty % based on the net amount due to Frontier i.e. after third-party platform fees. E.g. £33 game, less £3 VAT = £30 gross. 30% (or £9) is then due to e.g. Steam, leaving £21. The royalty % is based £21, not £30. | nimbo1
07/4/2018 14:30 | We don't know of course what Universal's license costs FDEV but I think it is reasonable to assume that FDEV's income per unit won't be less than Planet Coaster, hopefully more. | mark4231
07/4/2018 14:28 | Interesting stats. JWE could represent a real step change in scale for fdev. Game changer. | allstar4eva
07/4/2018 14:02 | Mark4231 Very interesting stats The first gameplay trailers are similar Planet Coaster 661k But JWE has had just over a week to get those figures compared to PC's year and half! If sales escalate up in anything like a similar ratio it will be huge... | ck1111

05/4/2018 07:46 | Yes thats it, thanks Chester. Ive corrected my post | nimbo1
05/4/2018 07:17 | nimbo1 - I think the US Gaming etf you are thinking of is ‘GAMR’ ? | chester
05/4/2018 07:08 | Hi Bamboo, sounds busy! In the UK I like to find smallish companies with global opportunities. In the UK at the moment I only own FDEV, WAND and KWS. (FDEV now 35% of the pf). I always look at fundamentals but I try to time entry and exit points using the chart. I watch for your charting posts on shares I am interested in so thanks for them! I recently bought something in the US called ntap, based on the chart and Walter Price from ATT talking about it. Sopheon I have owned and sold about 5 times since the rise started this year and I like the look of it. I shouldn't have traded as my initial entry started with a 5. However to hold I like to meet the company as I scale into a position and I haven't had the chance to do that. I hold things like ROBO and HEAL in my SIPP which are interesting 'forever' holds. There's an ETF called GAMR - a basket of the worlds gaming companies I really want to buy, especially after recent falls but annoyingly Hargreaves Lansdowne won't let me do it as they haven't submitted their KID. I also tried to buy Capcom 3 months ago but couldn't through HL. Hopefully in a year or 2's time FDEV will make up part of the GAMR etf portfolio. Some of the comments make me think JWE could do very well. Also plenty of nationalities posting. Steam spy has the game available in the following languages. Languages: English, French, German, Spanish, Japanese, Portuguese-Brazil, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese | nimbo1
04/4/2018 21:17 | Bamboo I know what you mean about lack of time for a trial. Sharepad have a 3 months for £25 offer at the moment which may be of interest - it is to me.. | homebrewruss
04/4/2018 21:02 | nimbo, thanks for the reply. I need to try sharepad. I have been meaning to put some time aside, but with self employment, a family and a cycling hobby, it's very difficult to find time to give a trial period justice. As you may have realised I am totally based around charts rather than fundamentals, but I'd love to be able to do more screening to find those shares worth charting. Apart from KWS, WAND and FDEV are you into any other shares? ZOO and SPE are full of promise! | bamboo2
04/4/2018 18:01 | I use sharepad - as a software the information they provide for individual share research is fantastic. The L2 works v well but tbh i don't have anything to compare it to! Costs me £60 a month but it pays for itself, when I started it took me about 2 weeks to be able to interpret it usefully and I cant do it for all stocks - so far Ive found it particularly useful for FDEV and GAW. I do own some KWS and will read the results with interest. I love the gaming sector as a long term wealth creation theme. My holding here is over 10 times larger so my attention is on this, especially at the moment! Not sure about an update or not tbh. | nimbo1
04/4/2018 17:44 | nimbo, we need to do what we can to increase that liquidity! Price finished on Historical Resistance, but has now confirmed the Inverse Head and Shoulders. I think this will now rerate. tp 1460-1500 Are we anticipating an update? I have a note of 18 April on my day planner, but not sure where this came from, could have been based on the date of last year. [Wed 19/4/17] Where do you get your level 2 info? ps are you into kws? Figures due on Monday. | bamboo2
04/4/2018 17:37 | bamboo at the risk of sounding like a copycat I sold my trading shares yesterday in 3 tranches on the spike and bought them back today. Level 2 really is very helpful with this stock - because its sets traded but quite illiquid. maybe its just because i watch it too much. GL with your trade. | nimbo1
04/4/2018 17:34 | Highest close for two months. [40 sessions] Hope to accumulate more. | bamboo2
04/4/2018 15:42 | Started buying some back around 1300-1320 :-) | bamboo2
03/4/2018 10:08 | Whilst there is some liquidity I sold some of my trading shares at 1365 | bamboo2
03/4/2018 09:35 | i pre-ordered too, i also saw that jwe was in the top 200-225 in global sales on steam, but i have no idea how many that might be. | haggishunter
03/4/2018 09:16 | After 20 or so years investing share price reaction to news still usually makes no sense to me. Anyway, nice to see the share price is now up a bit. I'm excited for the next few months, not only for JWE but over the weekend Planet Coaster, all the DLC packs and Elite: Dangerous were on sale and were consistently towards the top of the Steam Top Seller charts. I also pre-ordered JWE even though I don't see the point of pre-ordering and it's not my sort of game - but, hey, dinosaurs are cool! | mark4231
03/4/2018 08:13 | Down on the news! I'd like to hear Jeff Goldblum's commentary on the yo-yoing share price GLALTHs, 'Life will find a way...' | runthejoules
03/4/2018 07:29 | The big launch is on - for 12th June, "the first day of E3 Expo, the biggest games industry event of the year""..... | rivaldo
03/4/2018 00:13 | ALBA!!! About to 15 bag. See link below | stephen2010 |
