@Solarman I honestly am bewildered by your posts. They have nothing to do with the fundamentals of the company, but instead you want to somehow "blame" the CEO for not being more public, or pumping out news (when there isn't any to say) etc etc.

You somehow seem to think Flutter is doing poorly (and also that it's all about FanDuel. Hint: it isn't).

Draft Kings is worth $18.4B USD as of this writing. Flutter is $32.1B. That difference is not made up of the value of Fan Duel, but all the array of brands within the Flutter umbrella. It's a truly global company with strength in technology and operations of its business.

This is not a company that is run on the personality of its CEO, such as the insanely overvalued Tesla. This is a company that leads in its sector and will for decades to come.

Let's look at some comperables. Over the last 3 months Flutter is down 7.72%. Draft Kings is down 16%. Entain is down 19.75%. Seems to me that against comperables Flutter is leading the pack, has more diversity and is acquiring and integrating better than its competitors.

Focus on the fundamentals, not on how public the CEO is or isn't.

BetMGM and Caesars averaged 7% last year in NY. I had a debate yesterday with a guy who said competition will destroy the duopoly. Not with those numbers and Flutter being clearly the best operator performance wise.
I also found out that Americans outspend UK 3.3x on sports betting. USA is a massive market, even if gambling taxes are higher. The volume and outspending makes up for it.
Flutters international business is mostly casino revenue. Sportsbetting numbers are small compared to UK & US.

Panama - USA 2-1. Probably the most important money match, as Americans love to bet big.

Q2 Sports Results have been notably good on both sides of the pond… I have to feel we would be at £180 ish were it not for Illinois (and the perpetual cloud that now hangs over the whole sector).

Davy - the DUBLIN based brokers have just upped their price target to GBP185. Given the timing at the end of the Q/half you could think that their knowledge may be better than most.NY continues to guide to the Q numbers with a 7th straight week of holds in double digits with the last weeks hold a still remarkable 50pc. Turnover, as per other states, continues to rise 30pc per annum providing continuing positivity despite the lull of new action (which may change with the consequent initial costs)

Also take into account solid US results.
New York is averaging around 11.7% hold rate this quarter vs 10.43% average for last year.
US results will be the key growth driver for investors. I think of Sisal and international results as a bonus.
I think US casino is also going bonkers with Flutter growing faster than the industry.

It's summer and robots are doing most of the trading. If you look at Stoxx 600 and Helsinki & Stockholm graphs, they're identical for today. Some stress over French elections. Europe having low sentiment, US bullish on tech.
But yeah, Flutter is getting fraction of the potential available in the US.

2 more euro matches left and that will wrap it up for Q2 results.

3 draws in Euro. England was big favourite against Slovenia but it ended up in tie.
Also Brazil - Costa Rica went tie yesterday. Brazil was 1.08 to win. This had to be a good day for the bookies!

I think people are just dumping the stock in LSE. Stamp duty is a big reason not to buy it in LSE for us foreigners. Can just wait 6 hours to buy it in NYSE.
I only bought there to take advantage of the primary listing dip.

I think Boyd buying Penn is a risky bet. It can go wrong easily.
Boyd owns 5% of Fanduel.

Does anyone understand why I am still paying 1% stamp duty (Irish rate) on Flutter shares on the Hargreaves Lansdown platform? Why can’t I buy them in UK (I live in UK) and pay 0.5% stamp duty?

Boyd Gaming strongly rumoured to be acquiring Penn Entertainment … may explain the 2-3% drop of Flutter share price this morning although tricky to be too confident on linking news with price movements.

Who would have thought that Flutter would be the word on everyone's lips in the run up to a General Election!? The clueless MPs are showing just why they have failed 7 (seven) times to introduce the Gambling Act and their ignorance of the gambling world and the traceability of bets is now coming back to haunt them, big time.In the sporting world Royal Ascot came out with no monster days for punters whole tge euros are heavy betting footy matches (double premier league in England alone) and with 51 in a month with no last year comparatives the draw every day is killing the punters and notably only 2 of 24 teams have won 2 games in a row & England draw, Scotland never winning & the Germans drawing last night are ending June on a high for the book

rkeck, no they haven't. Penn May 24, sports handle $243m, gross revenue $31.2m, giving FD a hold 12.8%. Promotions of $8.5m and Fed excise tax are then deducted, giving an adjusted gross revenue figure, which saw FD pay $8.2m in taxes for the month.

i can see why the stock was so low. it will be a slow rise and then take off when q2 results are known. they also have to get out there and promote but I doubt jackson is the man, anyways he is in ireland/uk. with global hq moving to NYC, either he is or another will be selected in time.
