llama1978 one person's averaging down can be another person's averaging up.
Like all slogans it has no meaning at all.

"Musing on the likes of VCT and ZTF - raw materials suppliers with some gilding.
They are on PERs of about a quarter of a century.
Does this make any sense for companies that depend on building factories to supply a global, mundane economy?
FEVR is about the same I believe."

Interesting huh?

I guess it depends what you think is a fair value and your belief in the company, it’s board, it’s marketing, trends, etc. You don’t average down just to say my average price is lower. You sell some shares at one price and buy them back at another. Your average price is now lower. My average price was almost £30 a year ago now it is £23.50 I think. I am more likely to break even in my total investment than I was if I had not sold shares and bought shares a few times. So not sure I agree. But then I am currently losing so maybe you’re right. That’s my fault for putting off investing in fever tree for about 3 years!

bulltradept - the single best four words of investment advice ever given; everybody should be made to watch that PTJ clip with the hand written poster in background before being allowed to invest.

Maybe all the people who sold at £16 bought back... easy way to take £3 off your average share price.

Because it was an awful Christmas season not only for fever but for a lot of businesses! They expected the usual fireworks and got a puff of smoke.

I don’t think they lied. They said 2nd half of 2020 they expect a return to growth and 2021 in US will return to previously expected growth levels. So let’s see later... if so I guess price goes up

Closed my short. The big volume yesterday suggests that at least one eager seller is out. Lack of any TR-1 is a bit of a surprise but I guess they will appear during the day. Of course buoyant markets shrugging of virus impact are helpful to sentiment. I sort of expect another run towards the gap, which will be a great opportunity to rebuild my short position. There is likely to be a profit warning on the way based on UK sales, and one wouldn't want to not be short ahead of that.
