I've just set 2 limit orders, 2000 @ 280p and 2000 @ 250p, we'll see but I think you will get it under 300p for a short time.

Right, I've looked at this demerger and this is my take on things, I will however be corrected if I'm thinking this in a wrong way.

The shares in Issue are approx 1.459 BLN and EVR are going to retain 848,188,421 shares, this means EVR retains 58%, so 444.7 closing price x 0.58 gives 257.9 but with the market maybe opening down then it should be well under 250p a share and whatever this RASP price becomes should be irrelevant to EVR on EX-div tomo.

Rasp will be demerged and only RASP made a difference up to Friday 11th, whatever RASP is worth from Friday close is now history for the EVR share price

I've been reading up on EVR, your all saying Monday 14th is the drop in price, but question? the record date states 6pm GMT on 15th, does this mean the drop won't happen until Weds?

Edit: Just read the RNS so yes the drop is Mon 14th

"The expected timetable in relation to the Demerger is set out below. Unless the counterparties specifically agree otherwise, a buyer of the Company's ordinary shares ahead of the ex-dividend date (being 14 February 2022) will assume the benefit to the RASP Shares, and the seller would need to pass the benefit to the buyer, even if the seller is the recorded owner at the Demerger Record Time."

The market has been quite upbeat and seems to assume there won't be any invasion so far. That will change if Putin does roll the dice but then everything would drop.

It only falls to 200p if the market gets really spooked.

Was thinking of buying back in tomorrow, but I’m not so sure now. Very high div income possible but I’m not overly keen on holding shares that are very volatile, as these are likely to be for a while. I might look elsewhere for something to do with the sale proceeds.

200p would be a nice entry but seems doubtful unless Putin does what he knows he must not, he won’t get the backing of the Chinese, they already have their spat with the West, the Chinese don’t need Russia but Russia definitely needs China. Let’s see how far cornered Putin goes, which ever way he’s basically finished, he’s been played big time by Biden👍ӿ96;😃👏;🏻

Nobody is going to war with Russia. Obama gave Crimea to Russia and now Biden will give Ukraine to Russia.

Ukraine was former USSR and it goes back to being "in Russia".....so there will be no World War or fighting with the US or EU.

Everyone will just let them get on with it and moan and whinge in public with a few sancations to make it look "real", whilst at the same time doing lots of background deals.

The rise may have been generated by those who can trade RASP and think that the monday drop will be lower than the RASP valuation so they gain.
It is possible there may be a drop at the close because of uncrossing trades.

The next dividend can be as low as 10c assuming it is part of the $300m annual minimum and since a load of divs have already been paid including 20c in Jan I would be surprised it is much higher but who knows.

I wonder if the $300m minimum gets reset or it gets left alone because of the revamp in the distributable reserves..

The RASP ratio is based on the EVR holding in it and had nothing to do with the respective share prices.

The fall in the EVR ex demerger price is due to Putin but is then compounded by the rise in RASP which should have mitigated the EVR fall but doesn't seem to have done so.
Having said that the theoretical looks like 250p but will higher if you discount RASP.

Obviously we don't know what the monday drop will be and there seems to be too many variables to guess what the movements in the am will be.
