14/8/2020 08:54 | sceptical - yes, been in since 2010 & later from as low as 5.45p | ianguerin
13/8/2020 20:48 | Yes, I have been holding AAZ since March when it crashed below 80. Quality operator, one of the few small caps in this sector worth investing in imo. Was tempted to sell at 170 but held on. You? | scepticalinvestor
13/8/2020 20:45 | Politically, Turkey is extremely volatile. Makes it too risky. | scepticalinvestor
13/8/2020 19:48 | sceptical - have you seen AAZ ? | ianguerin
13/8/2020 18:41 | I often wonder why people don't like Turkey as it is a investment friendly European country. Based on 2018 holiday bookings Turkey was the third most popular with tourists - Spain first of course. Have you ever been there and seen what a modern and advanced country it is? From an investing perspective it recently came out well in an international study and is far more financially stable than the media would have you believe. Turkey actually has one of the lowest borrowing to GDP figures in Europe. It's currency is weak, (due to sanctions etc.) but that helps businesses as it reduces costs. Turkey invests heavily in gold (building massive reserves ) and buys all of Ariana'a gold output. It provides suitable businesses like Ariana with Strategic Investment status which provides massive tax incentives and makes it a very healthy place to top business. It is very focussed on gold and is the biggest producer in Europe.Yet investors put money into African countries like Zimbabwe, DSO, Congo, Ivory Coast, and other unstable places like Mali, South America etc. Very strange. Nothing wrong with Turkey imo | plasybryn

13/8/2020 13:00 | also Turkey is not a country I would want to invest in at the moment. | scepticalinvestor

13/8/2020 12:00 | AAU is a superb Co. First class proven mgmt. Just had full DD completed by one of the largest Turkish Conglomerates who are going to inject $30m plus to accelerate high prospective prospects. No red flags as far as I can see. I've been invested in Ariana for years & although I have already 10 bagged, I see massive upside in the future. If you think I've missed something please say. | plasybryn
13/8/2020 09:31 | srp,Invested here with HGM profits.Could double your money in time ! | garycook
13/8/2020 08:38 | MNG and DGOC fit the dividend bill IMO, one FTSE100 and the other soon to be FTSE250 hopefully. | doubleorquits
13/8/2020 08:00 | Any particular reason why? I agree woth you on ORPH, but have a few AAU which seems to be well mananged. | 2vdm
13/8/2020 07:56 | no disrespect but I wouldn't touch those companies with a bargepole. | scepticalinvestor
13/8/2020 07:48 | Ariana Resources (AAU) is going to have a special hopefully before end of the year. Should be sizeable. Open Orphan (ORPH) is hoping to sell one of its businesses pre year end and make a special. Both AAU & ORPH are great investments in their own right imo. | plasybryn
