Gaffer I used to think that the renewables element was worth the entire debt and therefore the airport was in for free. However, the debt is increasing, so I doubt it's the case anymore. The new CEO needs to get out and with Carlyle procure some airlines for next year.

It's essential that passenger numbers increase next year, if not there's no way they can finance their debt. Could end up selling the airports and being reduced to renewables company. Which would probably have the same valuation as the whole company does now!

Difficult to know what to make of these announcements. Good news is they have managed to get rid of their aircraft leases, but only saving 2m for an early settlement is poor given the amount of money at stake. Amazon reduced to 7 flights a week from October but only announced it today, when they also announce they are leaving. Wood waste volume is down but thankfully with RPI at 12 percent they have managed to meet expectation, when really they should be thriving. Any refinancing is going to be expensive if they can get it away. It all boils down to next summers flight schedule as I don't think they can go another year without any flights

Debts secured against Real estate means there will be nothing for shareholders unless this returns to profit. The odds of this being run profitably are minimal. Our BoD have shown a serious lack of understanding about the air industry in the past 4 years, why would it change now?

EasyJet shutting up shop at end of Oct and re-opening Malaga and Majorca at end of March. Southend need a lot more destinations and there should be some news within a month when the airlines announce their summer schedules

I think it's the debt market worries about .. borrowing cost will be higher because of high rates & also company still not near any profitability

Well worth a punt at these prices. 30m mcap is less than half the revenue for renewables.

I never thought it would get this low to be able to buy in the 4p range The spread has also narrowed so expect more trading next week. Still a punt though

It was not making any money pre covid, it's got to be losing a fortune atm , and set to lose more money post covid as the business does not even reach pre covid levels.
Sure its got assets , but its got debt.
Can see it ending up in the hands of debt holders.

The lack of new flights for next year or clarity over the winter flying schedule, or lack of it is not helping matters.

As someone that has used the airport over the years I can confirm it is a brilliant asset but for whatever reason airlines do not seem to want to return despite the troubles at other London airports this summer.

Next month or so will be key as airlines will be making announcements for next year, trading update at the end of September also due, would be nice to tie some good news in with that...

This is not looking good. Could be a quick double bagger or go to 0. Flip of a coin. I'm still confident they will make it through.

MCL looks very attractive with high potential upsides ... mcap 6m , revenues 150m , dividend yields 10%

I've been fairly negative on this stock, but I think the lows are in. If you believe they are going to survive, then this would be a great entry point. The RCF expires in March next year and I expect them to renew it. What they should be doing, given the market uncertainty with the stock is looking to settle the lease payments by trying to negotiate a one-off payment to settle their outstanding liabilities. I'm going to monitor the share price next week and if it's possible to buy in the low 6p, will dip my toe in and take a 3 year view for a 3 x bagger
