The sale of the Renewables
was meant to cover the bank
loan, the £50 million bond
payment due in May 2024
and leave headroom until
June 2024.
All the sale of the Renewables
has covered is the bank loan,
paid some money to the
pension scheme and left
around £3 million.
They have no money to pay
the bond payment in May
Southend Airport will be draining
what cash is left, the redemption
on the carlyle loan note is
£195 million, I personally cant
see how shareholders will receive
anything.

You mean like directors accumulating a larger stake....

.... so they can vote through their new remuneration package on the hope of wiping out all remaining cash after a sale of remaining assets ?

Company says deal should close next month. Will be interesting to see if that triggers a meaningful upside in the share price.

Hopefully, since they've been working on selling the airport business for so long, that is getting nearer to a deal, too.

No comments yet on the Biomass sale - says no one cares no one has any shares in this POS any more.

Which is fine since I never fell for the dividends will be covered until they are profitable BS in the first place.

But look what the directors want to do with the £100m + gross proceeds...

"contribute approximately GBP3.6 million to the Group's defined benefit pension scheme"
"The Board also intends to introduce a new Executive Remuneration Scheme which will facilitate certain incentive entitlements for its Executive Directors, that fall outside the scope of the Company's current remuneration policy,"

What absolute gall !

We are getting our hands on some cash after running this once large company completely into the ground. Since there will be almost nothing left we need to change the terms of our "incentive package" so we get a chance to deprive shareholders of anything that could be left for them.

Shocking greed.
Reward failure and if it really fails double down.

A further winter route added to Grenoble, nothing significant but a continuing development of the relationship with EasyJet.

This share is nothing but a punt. All depends on what price they have managed to get for the renewables division. It won't have helped having so many plant shutdowns this year. The airport sale is still a couple of years away

Rumour that 2Excel are basing a number of aircraft at Southend seems to be supported by an arrival this afternoon, Amsterdam frequency increased to 4x weekly for winter from 2x weekly.

Hoping for more positive news over the next month or so.
