This is all over and has been since they ejected Winkler years ago. This board took us into the aviation industry and completely misunderstood the risks, the industry and the objectives. They have dragged this company down to the dirt and anyone who thinks this is a turnaround situation need only recall the facts and the lack of management to decide whether to invest or not.

No BB postings could ever persuade me that this board know what they are doing.

They should hand their salaries back.

What's the betting that if there is anything left after the sales and debt - that instead of winding it up and returning
funds to shareholders , the directors have this bright idea of remaining a cash shell or reinventing themselves as
some sort of investment company - where they decide to invest in some unlisted companies and continue collecting a salary ?

"Strategic Value etc. Funds" have bailed from 5+ to Zero %

Clearly they were not strategic enough since there is no value here ..... ?

Can your read?Following the disposal, the main operating business will be the Aviation division, primarily London Southend Airport (LSA). The airport has benefitted during the summer season from the industry's strong passenger demand, which has seen the other London airports return to pre-pandemic passenger levels with the associated capacity constraints. The partnership with easyJet has seen the schedule grow from three to eight destinations, with increasing frequency and strong load factors being experienced, resulting in a 17.8% increase in passengers on the same period last year. This has encouraged easyJet to add additional routes with Alicante, Amsterdam, Geneva, Paris and most recently Grenoble to operate through the winter this year. Against this positive backdrop, discussions continue on an expanded summer schedule for 2024 with a number of airlines who recognise the growing capacity constraints at other London airports and the strong offering from LSA in terms of operating cost and passenger experience.

Market cap is only 6m. If you think they can get a decent price for Southend, this could be a 5 or 10 bagger if you are prepared to risk losing all your money

Blue Square, I'm with you. I was expecting a much higher sale price. They are gong to struggle to keep the airport operating at a loss to try and turn it around to achieve a decent price. Carlisle Group hold all the cards, but do they really want the airport now or just their money back. Dont think there will be much left for shareholders, hence the SP

Maybe that's another reason why they said this then -

"The Board also intends to introduce a new Executive Remuneration Scheme which will facilitate certain incentive entitlements for its Executive Directors, that fall outside the scope of the Company's current remuneration policy,"

What absolute gall !

We are getting our hands on some cash after running this once large company completely into the ground. Since there will be almost nothing left we need to change the terms of our "incentive package" so we get a chance to deprive shareholders of anything that could be left for them.

Shocking greed.
Reward failure and if it really fails double down.

It’s an old closed pension scheme per the accounts - the management aren’t in it. Just closes out some very old liabilities
