Drop in gbp, rise in oil.. Are a worry but being hedged not so.. An accident where Jet2 where clearly at fault.. But probably wouldn't be able to unload stock quick enough to avoid

WL, top of the list would be loss of senior guys.. Stephen, Gary or Philip.. I think they are all top of the pile in their respective competences..

Thought experiment: what development could cause you to sell your Dart shares? Is there something that the company/management could do, or that could happen in sector/UK/world that would cause you to completely change your mind? Interested to hear views.

I think it will. With the bonds in the 50s, I'll be amazed if they can issue any commercial paper, which they need for short term liquidity, which means that they will be completely at the mercy of the banks. Just a question of time, me thinks.

"Only a clown would buy these is a falling knife market.

So it shows you up for having no market knowledge."

7.73 not a bad entry point leave facts to determine who the clown is..

Seems the rest of the clowns have gone into hiding for the time being..

Woozle1 - you might get 'in resort support' from EZJ but it won't be a rep in hotels. Certainly in Spain you will see a sea of red (bolstered by RFCI) with a few blue (TUI) and the odd orange if you are lucky . Customers rebook with Jet2Holidays because of the level of service/report they receive. The PSAs at Alicante have received some very good press, at the expense of Ryanair, in the last few days.

Looks like quite a few airlines pushing "their" services to include hotel bookings.
Just travelled Air France and "their" hotel booking service is also a booking.com service except that each price booking.com offer comes with an Air France banner and an air miles award.
So, not really an airline initiative at all; probably a booking.com campaign.

(My main complaint about these intermediaries is that they give the impression that there is a scarcity of availability when in fact that availability is only based on the amount of room space allocated to them. Very often a check on a hotel's direct site reveals that rooms are available, at similar or better prices, when booking.com states "last x rooms remaining" or non-availability (accompanied by "Sorry, you've just missed the last room") So, in fact, a marketing lie!)

hatfullofsky .. EZJ packages exclude transfers, luggage, in resort support and in resort check-in .. moreover one is still dealing with an Indian call centre .. and they are using the booking.com reservation for hotel bookings (Jet2 buy inventory) .. not quite as package as you'd expect .w1

I guess all investors/traders here have read Taleb ("Fooled by Randomness" and "Skin in the Game")?
In my opinion he's one smart philosopher and ex-trader, but I'm a pretty useless investor myself only getting about 55-60% of my investments right. That's a 40-45% loss rate.
Still, that's better than giving my money to some other fool to play with and room for improvement for my success rate.

As I said once in answer to an investment house wanting to manage my money some 25 years ago:
"Why would I pay someone to lose my money when I'm quite capable of doing it myself?"
Needless to say he wasn't that amused to miss out on a 2+20% deal when I wondered what the malus in that equation might be!
What a game hey?
Lol!

Never sold a share and bought all the way down from 80p to 16p years ago and still hold 200,000. As you say CT, if I'd followed the Village Idiot, I'd be in and out for 25% and reinvested the lot in Velocys and lost my shirt with him. Hahahaha

Yes - I know that hence my comment above.

Credit to your honesty on this one unlike the likes of wangers and wobbles and shakens of this board who this morning were enlightening and surprising us all in saying that there is no such thing as a bad trade/investment in this game.
