07/2/2018 14:17 | And btw cash in bank has outperformed DTG hands down since April 2016. So yes even those ridiculous rates have been a better investment | tongosti
07/2/2018 14:16 | Absolute nonsense. Shillers CAPE at 34 and this market does not look overvalued to some! Ah dear | tongosti
07/2/2018 13:51 | not sure where cash can go but in the market. Cash ISA paying .5% to if you are lucky 1% A net loss per year of 2% I think a correction was needed and the market does not look overvalued to me. There are a few stocks trading on 20x but unless profits are going to fall off a cliff and they have to cut dividend its my guess share price will rise to lower those yields. 5/7% pretty much available in FTSE is very good. So is the market worrying about Labour? or following the yanks? Dart will still be flying 90 planes in the summer mostly full and moving 12 million people on holiday. For that reason I will buy the dips. Tiger | castleford tiger
07/2/2018 13:34 | That's the spirit - when the bull market is over (extremely high probability existing one is) shoe shiners usually caught up snoozing and they ride the market all the way south. Should be a great ride! | tongosti
07/2/2018 12:33 | Snoooooooooooooooooo | woozle1
07/2/2018 12:01 | Finally a sensible post. Yes - been saying for a while the end of the bull market takes down cyclical stocks first. Guess where DTG fits in. Yield on equities (inverse of Shiller's CAPE equal with 30yrs yield and extremely close to the 10yrs yield). Switching to cash now (or even short on a very selective basis) is the name of the game now. Re that CSuisse Vol ETF - that is only the first. Wait for the Smart Beta ETF world (where banks are head to toe in) to hiccup next if markets go down. | tongosti
07/2/2018 11:34 | XIV ETN. $2billion hit for Credit Suisse. How much exposure (that stills needs to unwind - FT ?$100billion) is left in the market? Still believe in DTG, but I’m cashing in my gains and readjusting my equity exposure. | doogle99
06/2/2018 15:58 | And wake me up when he's gone, please. w1 | woozle1
06/2/2018 15:37 | Snoooooooooooooze. Remind me to set the alarm. w1 | woozle1
06/2/2018 13:44 | Post not meant for you sweetheart - you're in a league of your own even even for shoe shiners! | tongosti
06/2/2018 13:24 | Keep those posts coming thongo. You're boring us all to sleep. w1 | woozle1

06/2/2018 09:07 | OK..lets agree to disagree..but keep the comments going if anything they give us perma bulls something to temper our optimism. | snorkelparker
06/2/2018 07:59 | Of course you wouldn't get it because it is radically different from yours (not many people would get Soros's reflexivity theory anyway - you're in good company). Ask w the genius for insights:) Interesting to see your numbers are coming to a screeching halt over the years don't you think? And ah, look at the progress made from April 16 (meaning its latest price high). Markets about to open Tic toc! | tongosti
06/2/2018 07:26 | just had to say a few words .. :-) | snorkelparker
06/2/2018 07:25 | Someone wake me when the Tongo scartched CD has been binned. Snorkel, don't both engaging with this moron. Check the posts and you'll see he's been spouting the same incoherent, illogical and circular arguments for years. w1 | woozle1
06/2/2018 02:52 | Still not getting your approach as a single indicator, sure emotions and momentum play a large part in price swings but fundamentals plus time usually trump short term emotions, we just have to beg to differ, already bagged a nice number over the last 10 years basing decisions on this companies fundamentals. Little confused with regard to your comment that no returns have been made for 24 months, at 8th Feb 2016 this share closed at 492, that represents a 34% increase to yesterdays closing price can pick any time frame to show a short term pattern, ,probably best to look at the longer term time frame. 5 Year 336.42% 3 Year 129.62% 2 Year 22.15% 1 Year 27.34 6 Month 26% 3 Month 8.03% 1 Month -3.8% 1 Week -1.64% Not exactly a slouch performance, show me a trend / momentum fund / play that even comes close.. We are always going to get corrections, I would far rather be holding a company with growth valued at single digit P/E, of course would have liked to have tried to have timed this sell off, be sitting with a load of cash ready to take advantage of a potential drop but hey ho that's a tough call.. So are you short ? Seem a shame to miss out on such a good opportunity ? | snorkelparker
05/2/2018 21:13 | In other words, a great funnymental story which has stopped making bulls money for 24 months (at a time where wider markets have been in a raging bull environment) will find it really really difficult in a market convulsion environment. Snorkel - it is always about Mr Market. He and only he makes you rich (funnymental analysis in isolation may or may not on the other hand); the rest is conversation. | tongosti
05/2/2018 21:01 | Can wait for DTG to open up tomorrow after a huge come down in US markets. Exciting times! | tongosti
05/2/2018 20:22 | Strange to think that there was a time - not that long ago - when the number of planes was low single digits and that Ryannair announcing an extra plane in Leeds Bradford trashed the price. And even that worked out well because RYA pulled that plane out of Manchester and so Jet2 increased its Manchester presence. At 90 planes, it's bigger than Tui (61) and TCG (33)but still well less than EZJ's 200 and RYA 300. w1 | woozle1
05/2/2018 11:46 | Thanks CT. Confident figures. 12 Million passengers and 90 planes (75 last year) is a massive expansion. Advanced sales of £1078 million would definitely support a potential turnover £2.4-2.5 billion (based on 42%-46% of previous years turnovers coming from advanced bookings).
