25/6/2013 21:15 | Battlebus, I also see this as a 10p stock, valuing the business around £5.8m. Cash of nearly £1m in the bank, and I imagine that even the mortgage downpayment and dividend payment we'll see a higher cash position at year end. There's no growth factored in yet, with the share price trading around tangible NAV only, at a reasonable PE. Thanks Playful, I've a busy few days over the next week so won't be checking in. Will give it a listen. | chrisis33
25/6/2013 21:01 | Can you tell me where I can buy some pork & lamb curtains please? | 1i1i1i
25/6/2013 20:59 | Chrissis33, don't get too hung-up on the daily trading activity. I view my investment here in the same way as I do with a buy-2-let property, the dividend is my rent and it should return my original investment within 7 years. Listen to this interview with John Lee | playful
25/6/2013 20:19 | Those charts look good chrisis33, next stop 10p imv :)) Yes i guess those couple of sells expect to see the shares marked down 0.2p tomorrow but that should be short lived! Buy for 5p and sell for 10p sounds a plan imv dyor etc. | battlebus2
25/6/2013 18:28 | Someone happy to forego their dividend there later today whilst selling for less than the director bought for. Thought I'd post some charts up, as I like charts and they seem to show an important technical level breached. WEEKLY - 20,50, 200 DAY EMAs | chrisis33
25/6/2013 14:37 | 5.25p paid ... no loose shares out there any more it seems. | chrisis33
25/6/2013 11:54 | Is today or tomorrow the last day one can purchase shares and benefit receive the dividend? real spread 4.44p v 5p. EDIT: To answer my own question - buyers from after today will not benefit from the dividend. | chrisis33
25/6/2013 07:26 | My guess is that Crawshaws must be performing admirably!!! | chrisis33
25/6/2013 07:19 | Very positive news All directors now have shares in the company. | playful
25/6/2013 07:16 | Sorry crisis33 for the overlap :)) Could explain why the stock was so hard to buy. | battlebus2
25/6/2013 07:14 | Fantastic news--Crawshaw Group plc (the "Company") (AIM: CRAW), announces that on 24 June 2013, Mark Naughton-Rumbo acquired 104,456 ordinary shares of 5 pence each ("Crawshaw Shares") representing 0.18% of the total voting rights in the issued share capital of the Company. Mr Naughton-Rumbo does not hold any other Crawshaw Shares. | battlebus2
25/6/2013 07:07 | RNS - Mr Naughton Rumbo picking up some shares. Great to see more Director buying, from our non-exec Director this time. I guess he was impressed at the AGM. | chrisis33
24/6/2013 20:17 | Investali, I put all the spare cash I had free at the time to invest in here. Will keep you posted with any other investments I consider, although I have none on my radar at the present time. A vast majority of AIM / lower cap shares seem to have a big red flag of one kind or another. Picked some good uns and some stinkers in my time, but learned a lot along the way. Maybe a sell off on the markets will throw up some opportunities over time. In the meantime very happy to be invested here. | chrisis33
24/6/2013 20:10 | Oh chrisis33 did you invest in any of your other filtered stocks as i would be keen to know what stocks you return the next time you run that scan. Sorry for the distraction everyone. Ali. | investali
24/6/2013 20:08 | I'm feeling better for you playful now we know the reason behind the 5% holding list, i wouldn't have liked to think it was done out of spite so thank them for small mercies. Ali. | investali
24/6/2013 20:06 | Thanks BrianGee great to hear that, thanks to playful for his kind report and with only four attendees, no sign of Sir Leonardo unless he is Sir Leonardo from ottrott :>) Ali. | investali
24/6/2013 20:02 | Briangeee good to hear you were impressed with the Rotherham store. Sadly they don't have the same feel down here in Dorset i guess it's the North /South divide :)) | battlebus2
24/6/2013 20:01 | Thanks BrianGee - great to hear some first-hand opinion, and very encouraging. | chrisis33
24/6/2013 19:53 | Thanks,Chrisis33. | tara7
24/6/2013 19:50 | TARA, other shares were R4E, CRL & SNAK. CRAW was the only one that ticked all my boxes. Been watching CRL, but disliked the recent results in terms of cash and debt position. Still on the watchlist though. Discount to NAV there looks significant, but risk of placing perhaps. TRD didn't show up because the filter I use doesn't pull through the most recent set of figures. | chrisis33
24/6/2013 19:50 | Thanks for the report playful. I'd planned to visit the Doncaster branch after the meeting, but had left my car in for an oil change when we were in the meeting. It wasn't ready when I returned to collect, so I wandered into the centre of Rotherham to have a look at the local Crawshaws. I hadn't seen one before, and frankly, I couldn't have been more impressed. It was busy when I was there, which was probably because it was lunchtime. They had a guy outside drawing in passing trade. The hot food counter had a fairly constant queue of about four or five people, and regular customers at the main cold meat counter. I purchased about £30 of meat to take home, and something for lunch from the hot food counter. The atmosphere in the shop was great (for a butcher's!). The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful, and a real credit to Crawshaws. | briangeeee
24/6/2013 19:47 | Craw need to get margin and turnover up, looks like they are doing just that. TRD is a share just like this for just one third of the price and it has a full listing. I love all these down trodden tiny stocks as the risk is low and rewards can be off the radar. Here you even get a divi.!! | tara7
24/6/2013 19:42 | Thankyou for your report playful much appreciated. Hi tara7 could be Craw is the supershare of the year :)) TRDA bid spread 6p-9p bit of a put off for some tara. | battlebus2
24/6/2013 19:37 | If this company can do just 5% on T/O your are on to a real winner. No idea how many shops are on a lease but rents are going one way.DOWN. | tara7
24/6/2013 19:25 | chrisis33 24 Jun'13 - 18:52 - 1919 of 1922 0 0 Thanks for that snippet of insight, ottrott. I have a similar holding to you (around 2%) but unfortunately unable to make the meeting. Looking forward to a couple of grand in dividend next month, and feeling upbeat about the potential here. Hoping we get a bit more detail back on the grapevine. I decided to invest here having run a stock filter for low market cap companies with a large turnover and turning a profit. There are not many profitable (pretax and operating profit) shares out there with a turnover in excess of 18m GBP and a market cap below 3m. In fact, the filter I ran on iii returns just 4 companies. Battlebus also mentioned it ages ago on another thread so I decided it was worth a few hours of reading past reports etc. Was one of those 4 companies TRD turnover £20M market cap just £1M.? What were the others please. | tara7 |
