22/6/2013 12:30 | Please congratulate the board on their decision to commence dividend payments at 5% !!! A good start - let's hope for dividend growth year on year. | chrisis33
22/6/2013 12:21 | Hi everyone. As posted previously, unable to make Monday's AGM as I'm out of the country for a couple of weeks. Gutted to be unable to make it. Had I been attending, I'd have a few questions: Appreciating the healthy focus on debt repayment, cash management and balance sheet strengthening over the past few years... How does the business see its prospects for larger-format new store openings in regional cities over the coming months and years? What's the breakdown of trade payables? (I'm interested to know if it includes past or forward rents and rates, as well as stock, and what's the proportion? A basic question, but as an investor I'm unclear on this). If the AGM update doesn't provide the detail: What is the % change in LFL sales, and possibly margin too. If LFL sales are up, does the board expect this to result in higher total revenues for the period? To what extent has the wholesale operation been scaled back? Will it be terminated completely? And when? Is the Bramley store currently still for sale? I don't expect anyone to ask these questions ... But feel free to ask one or two if they're of interest to you too :) Best wishes to everyone. | chrisis33
22/6/2013 11:52 | I'm sure you would shop more often if there was a free glass of sherry at the door.. :-) | knigel

21/6/2013 20:27 | You too Battlebus. Fingers crossed for a decent Monday update. | chrisis33
21/6/2013 19:14 | X dividend on Wednesday so only two trading days if you want the dividend. Lets hope for an upbeat statement on Monday. Have a great weekend all. | battlebus2
21/6/2013 07:43 | Last trading day before the AGM - let's see what it holds. | chrisis33
19/6/2013 16:08 | Yes very interesting, i've been into a couple of Greggs lately while adhering to my new diet without Mrs B of course and despite their profit worries both shops had plenty of customers. | battlebus2
19/6/2013 16:02 | Me neither :) Speaking of Greggs earlier ... a little fact for the day. On a per-store basis, a Crawshaws store (£120K per store) is valued by the market at less than half that of a Greggs store (£250K per store). On a turnover per store basis, a Crawshaws store turns over more than twice the revenue of a Greggs store. A very basic comparison, as it ultimately comes down to the bottom line, the balance sheet and earnings multiples. Greggs of course benefits from its scale in driving operating profit. Still, kind of interesting to compare despite the blinding differences between the scale of the two businesses. | chrisis33
19/6/2013 15:51 | Yes could be a last ditch attempt to get a trade before then. Not selling mine :) | battlebus2
19/6/2013 15:49 | That's my take, Battlebus - I think there's some underlying demand out there. As far as I can recall, it goes ex-dividend next week too. | chrisis33
19/6/2013 15:47 | I see that chrisis33, could be they are touting for shares. | battlebus2
19/6/2013 14:30 | Drop in the published spread - real spread stronger than for weeks - offered 3.85p for 150K shares. | chrisis33
19/6/2013 09:14 | Was wondering if there are any listed stocks out there that may be useful as a value comparison with Crawshaws? Closest I'm aware of is Greggs - but the difference in scale makes any attempt at comparison pretty meaningless. | chrisis33
19/6/2013 08:11 | Certainly seems they are happy with how the company is performing at the minute. I can't see them selling anymore but you never know, maybe they now realise they gave some stock away far too cheaply and also it's different now as we have willing buyers. | battlebus2
18/6/2013 20:58 | Hi Ali. Just a few trading days till Monday's AGM. Fingers crossed for a positive statement. This is a thinly traded, tightly held stock. I was just thinking that there's been no Schroders discussion or update for months. One can only assume they've stopped selling now that CRAW are set to become a divi paying stock? | chrisis33
18/6/2013 19:48 | Whoa that's a very smart deal. No one selling before the AGM, trades few and far between now. Ali. | investali
18/6/2013 11:28 | Nice to see Crawshaws reaching out via social channels today. No point having a following if you don't communicate with them . "This weeks amazing offer. 5kg (11lb) chicken breast fillet - only £22. When it's gone - it's gone!!" | chrisis33
14/6/2013 11:40 | 3.84p v 4.37p ... nice to see the real bid/offer spread moving in response to trades. | chrisis33
13/6/2013 16:09 | Thanks Battlebus ... nice to the limits up. Have responded by the way :) | chrisis33
13/6/2013 09:26 | I'd be on that train too playful but i don't see it happening anytime soon. Chrisis33 i left you a message. I see limits just raised you can now sell 200k at 3.76. | battlebus2
12/6/2013 23:19 | Good to hear you're upbeat, Battlebus. :) | chrisis33
12/6/2013 23:18 | Certainly wouldn't harm to raise a bit of awareness amongst the investor community. | chrisis33
12/6/2013 22:21 | I note David has invited Anpario to present at FinnCap tonight, I wonder if we will accept an invitation in the not too distant. I would certainly be on the next train... | playful |
