Happy to see Bradford on the list. It's probably the Broadway shopping centre they are looking at

Re the stores, it seems Leicester will be next (45) with West Brom (46) thereafter. The company's website refers to Bilston opening soon which together with Wednesbury is bang in the middle of West Brom, Dudley, Wolverhampton and Walsall; ie just not sure whether this is the "West Brom" store that is coming soon?

The careers section of the website also lists the following locations for positions pertaining to store managers / trainee area managers:
•Liverpool
•Runcorn
•Bradford
•Nottingham
•Nottinghamshire/Lincolnshire
•Wolverhampton
•Walsall
•Birmingham

Possibly playful but just don't think they will be holding their breath for too long; the target is a further 156 stores by 2022 (ie 6.5 years) so 156/6.5 = 24 or 2 new stores a month.

I would expect they will pause the store openings shortly as management will know its so easy to get carried away with store opening momentum and so easily neglect newly opened stores that might need additional support.

I've added the new logo to the header.

At first I wasn't a fan of the new black and preferred the old green branding but over time I've grow to like it. We all have to keep up with these modern times I guess.

Does anyone know when the Leicester store opens ? That is a buzzing city right now

Footballer of the Year, team of the year, Manager of the year and now they have the best butcher and food to go coming soon.

Someone in head office running the geographic targeting and store planning teams has a penchant for the W as having had Wigan, Warrington and Widnes we are now highlighting the need for staff in West Bromwich, Walsall and Wolverhampton lol

Someone mentioned contactless chip & pin payments and I note from a customer that a new store certainly had that payment system availability so I am sure they are up to date with this in all new stores but probably adding it to the older stores

Has Crawshaws been tipped somewhere over the weekend or is this high expectations and buying just ahead of results this week ?

I absolutely love this blog post on the famous crawshaw Yorkshire shouters

They should hold a competition for all the stores to submit their shouters into a HQ audition to find our champion shouter. We could have Noel, Kevin and Richard as judges, you can probably guess who would be our Simon Cowell.

The touch and pay up to £30 with Visa contactless should be on Noel's list of things to action. It's still card and pin in most shops but with the majority of our transactions being sub £30 it would seem a sensible idea and speed up the service at counter.

Do any of you live in the South East London/ NW Kent area ? I am planning to do regular orders and have a refrigerated delivery van drop of a large Crawshaws selection of offers/ award winning sausages etc on the Monday of our Mello event as I regularly get requests. If you bring a cooler box it could be transferred straight across.

Any thoughts /demand from investors ?

Certainly a difficult one to balance; each transaction of the food to go menu takes about 90-120 seconds. If three are serving and there are 10 people waiting with more about to enter, how long are the customers prepared to wait and will this persuade them to come back?

Overstaffed! Hopefully they are not overstuffed as that might indicate pilferage!

Tough balance though because they would then be overstuffed for most of the day when it is quieter. I'm sure they've thought it through......

Busy today at Bolton. Still think they could do with more staff during the lunch period; when I left there was a queue of about 10 with a few others about to enter.

David, most of the other recently opened shops appear to have created around 18 new jobs. Leicester is to create 25 new jobs so seemingly over a third bigger than most.
