21/11/2015 18:52 | Thanks for the feedback Extrader. They have a specialist new store opening team, basically it's their best people that setup procedures and train & recruit before moving onto the next. It is a good system and ensures all our shops meet the same standards. | playful
21/11/2015 17:48 | Hi all, Just back from checking out the new L'boro store and stocking up whilst my (vegetarian) partner is away ;-> Despite having a Greggs next door and a butchers trailer directly outside (market day only), business was brisket 4-30 pm. I was served by the store manager, who remembered me from a couple of visits to the Derby outlet. He said the new store was exceeding expectations and - when I asked if by chance he knew the location of the next opening - said he hoped it would be Nottingham, as he'd love to run that one too. Spoke highly of Neil and the 'working vibe' certainly seemed positive. NAI, DYOR etc etc ATB | extrader
21/11/2015 15:38 | 39 stores to around 200 would certainly be very impressive. | scottishfield
21/11/2015 15:35 | No idea.....but I do think that the share price is heading North. | tadders2
21/11/2015 15:06 | It is rather impressive how the project managers & store fitting teams have got all the stores completed in record time for the November openings and just shows what Crawshaws are capable of delivering in 2016... 9th Nov....Bury 16th Nov...Loughborough 19th Nov...Birkenhead Anyone know where we are going next ? | davidosh
20/11/2015 10:25 | This is a very scale-able high street food sector growth story. No more funding is likely to be needed so no dilution in the foreseeable future. Can go to 200 stores in the next few years and every store is profitable with ever improving margins. The new CEO has done it before at Lidl and is going to show how it can be done again....he is building and has already substantially built a team of key executives to do this. Shops are opening every two to three weeks....there will be a lull now to allow the very busy Christmas period to take place but then onwards and upwards in the new year as key sites become available (often good sites come up in January as businesses move out after struggling through Xmas) The City love the story.....there is very little else in the sector anywhere near it as far as potential and ability to deliver and you can already see the ground and first floor in place. Foundations are great so I am afraid the price is high as the building is going much, much higher than most thought possible a year ago ! In three years ?....that is where the vision comes. I am totally relaxed about it but clearly many are only just getting to hear the name. It will be throughout and reaching 90% of the people north of Birmingham by then on a daily basis. Nobody really knew much about Lidl and Aldi until three years ago but they were quietly building and now have massive growth and penetration. Here comes the next big food growth story | davidosh
20/11/2015 08:56 | Multibagger - some back of the napkin estimates I'm working from: 2014: £820k profit on £21m turnover from 19(?) shops Currently 39 shops so turnover should be around est £44m => est £1.7m profit (but then margins have improved since 2014 too) => est PE of 40ish => planned growth rate of 35% to match SP seems optimistic but not outrageous. The bull case would be that they're doing even better than their estimates. All my estimates, please correct me where I might be wrong. | nickfishfishfishthorn
20/11/2015 08:06 | It's the guy in charge, he will build this up into a massive company. | montyhedge
20/11/2015 07:01 | Fantastic news for holders :) I'm trying to understand the gravity defying shareprice uptrend and the justification of a PE in the seventies, given the profit margins being quite small. What am I missing / don't know that is propelling the CRAW share price ? TIA :) | multibagger
