12/2/2016 17:54 | Interesting chatter on Twitter suggesting we are now supplying independent stores. I remember suggesting this years ago as it makes absolute sense to sell directly to the trade in addition to the public assuming we have access to plentiful supply. Crawshaw branded sausages in other retailers baskets. Helps build our brand! | playful
10/2/2016 13:00 | Both are great bargains. | tadders2
10/2/2016 12:39 | A bit of buying today: 3 X cooked chicken & gammon joint, plus 3 lamb steaks, plus my dinner = £23.50. Bargain. 30,495 shares bought at 79.40p (not me btw). Bargain? | mcmather
07/2/2016 22:56 | I like the “boast the best roast" competition. I don’t see any reason why we can’t run something similar on the company FB page and include all the stores in a single promotion. | playful
07/2/2016 21:31 | Bit of PR in the local rag: Competition: Crawshaws launches boast the best roast competition ahead of Birchwood store opening. By 2022, Crawshaws Group will invest £200m, opening 200 stores and creating 2,500 jobs, and therefore securing its status as a national brand. CEO, Noel Collett said: "Birchwood is the ideal location for our opening, with over 4.5 million shoppers visiting the shopping complex each year, we’re confident we can offer all of them something new and exciting". Gary Jones, centre manager from Birchwood Shopping Centre, said: "We are thrilled to welcome Crawshaws to Birchwood, they have completed our retail structure as we are now fully let". | mcmather
06/2/2016 10:43 | Crawshaws, the fresh meat and food-to-go retailer, is set to expand with a new 1,400 sq ft store in Birchwood Shopping Centre. Opening its doors on February 15, the launch will create 18 jobs and add a 40th branch to the company’s UK-wide portfolio. | playful
05/2/2016 16:53 | I get in to Bolton once / twice a week and been going this (relatively) new place in the town for me dinner.... Some background enquiries and I find that the little blighters are listed. Look forward to the new stores opening and the update end of t'month. | mcmather
28/1/2016 23:52 | I think if you asked him he'd admit Crawshaw is probably his favorite company, perhaps because they are very plucky and forthright in the Yorkshire (Colin Crawshaw) tradition... | playful
28/1/2016 18:08 | Thought it may have been for his work at QPP :-) | cockerhoop
28/1/2016 17:58 | Our chairman has won an award.... | playful
23/1/2016 12:04 | I did not see the tweets but as we all know this is very early stage in a 200 minimum store roll out story that probably needs no further funding or dilution. After another two years of proof that this is the case and with 80 to 100 stores in our Crawshaws network across the North and Midlands I suspect a bid will come in from one of the supermarket groups...but just my thought. I prefer the continued growth as Noel has a great team and has done it all before. We are simply in early and the institutions have been buying as they now see the potential too as mentioned here.... (Crawshaw tuna lol) | davidosh
23/1/2016 11:43 | Without going through it in anymore detail right now I'm pretty convinced it would be a highly profitable group. Obviously growth would be pedestrian as just down to LFL.Anyway the point is that the reported profits and PE ratio masks this of course. We are all here because of the roll out but worth reflecting that this is a successful business already. The tweeters ignored that. | hydrus
23/1/2016 11:28 | Looking at their presentation I think EBITDA is about £150k per shop so multiplied by 40 gets to £6m | hydrus
23/1/2016 10:13 | Hi Hydrus...how did you get to that number? | tadders2
23/1/2016 08:59 | I think EBITDA would be about £6m but presume various adjustments needed. | hydrus
23/1/2016 08:44 | Yes I saw that - they were looking at the PE and saying it was massively overvalued. Obviously very shallow analysis as it ignored the reinvestment to expand the group.I keep meaning to estimate what the current group profits would be if they just stopped expanding today. | hydrus
23/1/2016 07:36 | I did notice that some punters were talking about shorting Crawshaws on Twitter. Think they may have had their fingers burnt. | tadders2
22/1/2016 23:40 | Very quiet on here now I remember when we were 2p we had 20+ posts a day admittedly mostly me moaning but certainly a lot more activity. | playful
17/1/2016 14:55 | Great news Playful. | tadders2
17/1/2016 12:15 | Just noticed on our LinkedIn profile Noel has been busy pilfering Lidl staff and the others all seem to be new people except the HR girl who has been here a long time. Lidl Head of sales is now our new Group Retail Sales Director Lidl Campaigns manager now our new Area Manager | playful
13/1/2016 23:05 | Roll up...roll up....5 shares for less than a fiver. | tadders2
13/1/2016 22:33 | This Motley Fool article will make you smile | davidosh
13/1/2016 15:02 | Three chickens even if smaller than average for a fiver is great value. Crawshaws becomes well known for their bargain buys wherever they go....the word is spreading. Peel Hunt have reiterated the £1 target today hxxp://beanstockd.co | davidosh |
