The end of an era indeed. I invested in 2014. I got a total return of almost 100%. Not bad, but was a lot more, when it was at all time high a few years ago.

It all depends on Elliott.
In the current market they may well accept 925 and move on. They continue to buy….maybe a free 2% will be enough.

Sp still 905; there is still market suspicion that a 75% Shareholder acceptance won't happen. It was £11 a few yrs ago of course..

ijat youre right I was happy to see they increased the offer but it won't do until they raise it to a premium to market price

The lower share price well below that 925p higher offer, reflects the risk of the bid failing. IF it does the share pice could well fall quite heavily, giving a great chance for those of us who sold recently a chance to buy again.

There’s also the chance of a new bidder and a bidding war......but bearing in mind the share price drifting lower last week and down again today, suggests the market (which is often a good guide in bid situations) thinks this is unlikely.

So investors deciding to continue to hold could do very well.....but also risk significant share price fall. Those who’ve sold have surely done very well and have banked those gains.

It is the least they could do….hardly a knock out bid raising to recent market value. .it is really down to Elliott and a couple of others now.

Triton have more to give as they reserve the right to increase the offer if another bidder emerges.

For those who placed sell orders over the weekend expecting that the bid would fail, I hope you cancelled before the market opened otherwise the MMs have cynically marked your sale lower. The share price really should be higher rather than lower today….but maybe hat does depend on Elliott supporting the deal.

FWIW I think 925 will be accepted.

Triton needs to get a lot of votes in…..the deal is not happening at 883p.

As a minimu.m they need to get to 930 with 950 a knock out blow.


Watch the weekend press and expect a higher offer on Monday.

Court Meeting and GM are on 18 Jan, then we'll know. Long since I sold half at 915p xd to lock in good price above the offer in case: bid falls through, no better offer comes.

Exactly ali47fish…..which is why the offer is likely to be sweetened to get the votes in…otherwise the Board and Triton look a little silly if they can’t get the deal through.

Board has agreed but only hold 0.27 percent so it will need some big players to reach 75 percent
