27/12/2021 12:25 | At this time of year is there enough time for individual investors to receive a corporate action from their respective trading platforms decide whether to accept or decline the offer and reply and the platforms to correlate this and pass it on to whoever deals with the numbers I a share holder in the company have not received any communication yet I am guessing any of the professionals dealing with this will be on their holidays at the moment as well I am at the moment planning on rejecting the offer although that will be reconsidered as things pan Out anybody else know what they are considering Hope your all enjoying the festive break | paying4it

08/12/2021 13:26 | Good advice HJS The volume today is very high…..the bidder cannot be buying as they have to offer more if they do, so there are a lot of buyers who expect a higher bid. With only .25% in the bag and needing 75% to win the vote, it will probably need to be sweetened to get the institutional votes needed even without a counter bid. I expect they have some margin to work with. I will hold for the moment. Once the institutions start committing the game is over and we can sell out with more confidence that the best result has arrived. | 1jat
08/12/2021 10:33 | Ken I agree with what you are saying but I would also add that the "bidder" normally starts with a lower bid. They have the fair value in their DD and based on that figure, they have the flexibility of offering more if needed or there is a rival bid. IMO, based on the reaction of the share price, market thinks there is a rival bidder or the bid will be raised. I do not think one should rush and sell at this price. We have to wait and see what happens in the next few weeks. | hjs
08/12/2021 10:09 | Looking for north of £10 here. | lomax99
08/12/2021 09:36 | It is unusual that a recommended offer has been made public without any insti holder acceptance. However, I think any, say 15%, higher offer would have to come from someone able to generate synergistic benefits from a combination with an existing business. I note Triton has other investments in healthcare. Can anyone think of a company in the healthcare sector who would be interested to try an offer? | cellars
08/12/2021 09:25 | When the share price goes usefully higher than the price of the agreed bid, it means the market thinks there may be one or maybe more rival bids. Bidding wars are great fun for investors holding that share. Sometimes there is a rival higher bid and sometimes there isn’t but, as has happened with the CLINIGEN share price in recent days, sometimes the market does know what is going on behind the scenes, presumably from chat etc with one or more of those in the know. There’s probably no rush to sell yet. There is now a floor under the share price, unless the bidder walks away which right now seems unlikely. If the share price drops to just below the price of the now agreed bid, that strongly hints that there are unlikely to be any rival bids. | kenmitch
08/12/2021 09:05 | it will be rejected. Another offer will come. | babbler
08/12/2021 08:53 | Share price is higher than the offer price because Inst. shareholders know that this company has been sold off cheaply than its fair value. They will not give in and accept the offer price. | hjs
08/12/2021 08:46 | Just sold my stake at a 27 percent profit so happy with that. This but out looks like a done deal and yet the share price is currently at a premium to what share holders will receive if they hold out until the deal is done. | r2oo
08/12/2021 08:30 | when a broad has agreed to sall how Can it go bak on its word just because a party wants a better price | ali47fish
08/12/2021 08:27 | I guess the price is being lifted by speculation that Elliott and other insitiutions may push for higher. Unsure what else it could be to pay over the bid price | hutch_pod
08/12/2021 08:20 | My thoughts exactly, the dividend is locked in so why wait for the sale to go through at a lower price?Anyone have any insight into why this would still be going up well past the bid price? | r2oo
08/12/2021 08:15 | the trading price is higher why not sell now | ali47fish
