I assume £150m given that’s what they paid - it was about £10m EBITDA business at the time. About 10% of that was EBITDA was the UL2L capability that they have kept - formulation lab in Greece and a couple of U.K. generics - link to quantum annual report 2017

The part of Quantum Pharma sold to Target for (up to) £7.7m is associated with a £9.6m write down.
Doesn't that suggest Clinigen had it on the books at £17m?
Does anyone know what it was valued at when Quantum was bought?

Although tbh still reeling from the Quantum sale - 150m to ‘up to 7. Whatever million ’ ie basically a write off. Always had concerns about the CSM deal to but @ 240m let’s hope not

I’ve read a bit into proleukin/ IL2 - I’m no expert but there are loads of pharma and big bucks ( literally billons) invested in the space trying to develop selective IL2 products - if one is successful then proleukin with all its side effects looks pretty dead ( which I guess is why Novartis offloaded it). Looks like a PE buyout is best bet for share price ‘revitalisation’ hovering around £6 is tempted to top up...

It will be some time before there is a natural rise in the SP….12-24m of consistent delivery with no nasty surprises and hopefully some positive news on Proleukin.

Trying to spot a bid candidate and then having a bid occur are two different things.
It will be a candidate for a bid, but at what price and when is highly uncertain.

I have my holding which is underwater at present….I am not going to commit more funds speculatively….but if business performance improves I may be tempted in a year or so.

Marvelman - I agree completely. Just need to decide if timings right for a punt that a PE drives share price up ... before the next fallout

pennypincher...I think they lost their credibility quite some time ago. The sadness of this is that the company has a great business model but without anyone running it in a business-like manner. It has been a lifestyle company for years. It will surely get taken out and hopefully soon which is the ony reason I am in it.

Hmm not sure how much credibility you can give to a company issuing share price warnings weeks before trading update- paying down debt and DD growth sounds awfully similar to last year. Not to mention Quantum (95% depreciation Jeez). Chairman stepping down I see. Best chance for a share price revival is PE purchase IMHO

Well a positively glowing outlook for 21/22 and 22/23.
Is that a come and get me call out to PE?

If delivered the share price should look better in 6 and 12m time.

Looking to pay off around 130m of debt in next two years.
Proleukin looking sickly….may not recover but also washing its face against the debt taken on to buy it and he amortisation of its cost….
Clin will survive a big write down in Proleukin if it is needed, but management should avoid future big deals on waning drugs.

Sounds like a desperate roll of the dice by CEO to liven up the share price with a trading update due imminently…
Last year there was a hint of a bid around 800-900.
That would probably succeed now…and may be a bargain.
