13/7/2023 10:40 | Copper seems to have its mojo back, lead and zinc also doing well today. | royalalbert
12/7/2023 21:18 | Strong downside move in the dollar on the inflation print, putting 12m lows. Metals appear to be gaining upside momentum. Should do well in H2. | kael
12/7/2023 13:44 | "Nigel will also address the Company's recent share price performance." ...I wonder what he will say about the share price? CEO's normally say they concentrate on running the company well and let the share price look after itself. | jeff h
12/7/2023 12:00 | Will also be interesting to see how much savings will be made through the solar plant and cut and fill. With these savings and less capex we have more money in the kitty for acquisitions etc. | royalalbert
12/7/2023 11:52 | Steady as she goes, no spikes just a steady increase to fair value, underpinned by a fair divi also. | royalalbert
12/7/2023 09:07 | Also took a few more at 180p. Seemed rude not to! | santar
11/7/2023 22:39 | Yep, I took some more sub 180p. What's the views on medium and long term prices for Zn and Pb ?? Cu, IMO, is going up, but appreciate views on Zn and Pb prices over the next 2-10 yrs. Ta. | dougmachin
11/7/2023 22:07 | After today's update CAML is top of my list of top-up options. Even if the dividend is cut to 14p per year (hopefully that's ultra-conservative) it still represents a near 8% yield. Hopefully with increased commodity prices, lower energy prices (partly due to solar power plant), higher production at Sasa, we'll be looking at nearer 20p per year in dividends, and a share price well above 250p. Got to take these buying opportunities. As painful as it is seeing one's investment slump by 40% in 6 months, it's the way to make money in the long run. | bozzy_s
11/7/2023 09:55 | Have been invested here for years. It’s a company which seems to do most things right but never seems to be reflected in its share price. | sumday
11/7/2023 09:49 | Great update, steady as she goes. | kael
11/7/2023 09:00 | gota - from VSA 050423 confirming RA 5562 Sasa - set to be a transitional year for the operation as it moves from the current sub-level caving mining method to the more flexible, sustainable and safer C&F method (supplemented with some long-hole stoping). Group capex is budgeted at $28-30m for 2023, comprising c.$12m on the Sasa transition, c.$5m for the construction of a solar power plant at Kounrad and $11-13m of sustaining capex between the two operations. | melody9999
11/7/2023 08:57 | In this market a company with $50m+ in the bank with no debt is a rare commodity (pun intended) | royalalbert
11/7/2023 08:47 | Yes sorry you are right. I included the zinc also but didn't consider the 85% concentrate of product. | gotabsirius
11/7/2023 08:33 | Gotabsirius, I make it about $5m of inventory at the end of H1 23. It was about $2m at the end of H1 22. | pughman
11/7/2023 08:23 | Would guess there's been around $20m capex in H1. That's more than the whole of 2022. This should drop off quickly now. Not aware of any other significant capital projects going forwards so more fcf and cash build in future | gotabsirius
11/7/2023 08:22 | Many thanks. | gotabsirius
11/7/2023 08:08 | Gota, this from 29th March 23 "We expect 2023 Group capital expenditure of between $28 million and $30 million, of which between $11 million and $13 million is expected to be committed to sustaining capex. Total expected 2023 capex also includes approximately $5 million related to the Kounrad solar power plant. CAML expects Cut and Fill Project capital expenditure in the order of $12 million in 2023" | royalalbert
11/7/2023 07:40 | This from the latest report on TE "Meanwhile, combined copper stockpiles across the LME, SHFE, COMEX and China bonded warehouses reached 225,018 metric tons, marking a substantial 55% decrease since March. This level of stockpiles represents a mere three days of global copper consumption in 2022" | royalalbert
11/7/2023 07:35 | ACT think they took it down to try and flush. | royalalbert
11/7/2023 07:33 | Market beginning to reassess. | arlington chetwynd talbott
11/7/2023 07:26 | Market not overwhelmed, but I am happy enough. I switched out of the frustrating ARS into this a while ago. That switch is yet to pay off, but CAML feels a lot more like investing than ARS. | arlington chetwynd talbott
11/7/2023 07:24 | Special Dividend perhaps ? | santangello
11/7/2023 07:18 | $4m spent on solar plant. Looks like Sasa capex in H1 heavy also. Anyone any idea what Sasa capex budget was for 2023? They've paid overdraft facility off at Sasa (net cash was $58.9m at year end. They also have circa $10m of inventory. All looks good | gotabsirius
11/7/2023 07:09 | Net cash is $9m lower than Dec-22, but that includes a dividend of roughly $23m paid in May. Very happy with the update. We're just waiting for commodity prices to recover. Lots of companies in the same position. At least CAML are profitable and cash-generative. | bozzy_s |
