21/6/2023 12:37 | They may as well buy back the shares with the growing cash pile | spoole5
21/6/2023 12:13 | >>Does anyone have any idea why the share price is so negative?>> I'd guess it's because the shares' main attraction - the high yield - looks less attractive as inflation remains high, pulling base rates and gilt yields higher. Edit: Apologies, I thought I was posting on another thread, although it will be the case that CAML's yield now looks less appealing. Other miners have performed poorly this year, with smaller companies generally faring worse than large companies. | zho
21/6/2023 11:51 | Does anyone have any idea why the share price is so negative? Is there a big seller? I can’t see any bad news? Yet the share is Lodi g more and more each day? | 2603
19/6/2023 07:06 | In this latest episode of the Desert Island Investor my very dear friend and fellow castaway Paul Kerin discuss Central Asia Metals, and the tailwind that is provided by the quest for 'net zero' - | markatkinson
13/6/2023 12:06 | I stand corrected, looks like H1 was 12th July last year, not June....Doh | zebbo
13/6/2023 11:49 | Do CAM report H1 production tomorrow? | zebbo
11/6/2023 14:11 | Thanks for the link, zaphod99. As a producer of high-purity copper cathodes (rather than shipping concentrate), CAML should get some protection from the mining-tax hike: “At the same time, the tax rate will be lower for companies that refine and process minerals domestically”. | meanreverter
08/6/2023 07:33 | £2.80,s more like it. Sold CAML on Jan 16th for 283p.Now back in. Great value around £2, with No Debt, and a 10% yield ! | garycook

07/6/2023 17:51 | Looks like it's turned the corner. Hopefully back to 220-240 in quick time. Looks very oversold to me. | bozzy_s
05/6/2023 10:02 | Anyone any thoughts on how low CAML may go? Surely a further drop if we get some 'recession' figures out of China or the USA over the next few months? There is plenty of time until the autumn dividend, so we can afford to be patient. | 1knocker
03/6/2023 15:00 | New tech in production for copper. hxxps://www.jettires | serratia
01/6/2023 20:39 | Think that's a lot to do with Covid spike they've had recently which they look to be coming through with encouraging manufacturing numbers out last night | gotabsirius
01/6/2023 18:05 | Its all driven by global economic fears, recessions and more specifically China's consumption of metals being slower to bounce back IMO | haywards26
01/6/2023 13:14 | It's sector wide. Aal, atym etal have all fallen by a similar amount.... | gotabsirius
01/6/2023 11:33 | Just doing some digging & came across this from a couple of months back where they clarified that they don't want to take on debt or raise equity, so are looking for earlier stage exploration & development assets which they can fund to production via free cash flow, whilst also maintaining their dividend; Classic IC call on price at 241p; "The prospect of an early-stage project coming onto the books could spark nervousness from investors but given management’s keenness to hold onto the dividend and the positive copper price outlook, we remain bullish" Does this explain the persistent sell off beyond apparent fair value? | 74tom
01/6/2023 08:52 | Note: Taisogan Copper deposit | gotabsirius
01/6/2023 08:49 | Interesting Mean This stands to highlight the value in play in this part of the World. There's some large undeveloped copper resources very near to current opps. Wouldn't it be great if they could utilize current facilities/ assets to process new reserves.... | gotabsirius
31/5/2023 22:18 | gotabsirius — FAR might be a good fit for CAML. It could be bought for $100m, and a further $150m would bring it into large-scale production over 2 years. It is also based in Kazakhstan, has a 100-year mine life, produces a base metal (vanadium), and has ultra-low costs at the envisaged scale of production. The $250m estimate here would be below the cost to CAML of the Sasa mine in 2017, namely $402m. | meanreverter
31/5/2023 16:56 | Picked up £5k's worth at the close. I asked IR about electricity costs at SASA, where the company took a £5m hit in H2 22, when the contract ended in June last year. They have not signed a new contract, but the spot price in North Macedonia has been circa 14c/kWh, which is significantly lower than H2 22, when it was between 20-40c/kWh. | pughman
31/5/2023 13:34 | May as well buy back shares with the excess cash at this level | spoole5 |
