21/2/2024 10:02 | >>Are SCSW still bullish on CAML?>> I think it was Momentum Investor (described as a sister publication of SCSW) that was +ve on CAML. Their last coverage appears to have been in May 2023, and you can see the start of the article at | zho
21/2/2024 09:55 | Thank you GoSoftly Are SCSW still bullish on CAML? do they believe this is a buying opportunity and did they give a price target? Seems bizarre the company is trading close to 2020 lows despite copper not falling anywhere near where it was in May 2020. Also, CAML seems to have fallen alot further than other coppper miners like Freeport for example. Anyone have a view as to why? | arieljcohen

10/2/2024 09:05 | Dougmachin, possibly two very's was excessive. But how many very's would you give to have 200 Million. Would you be pleased, very pleased, very, very pleased or over the moon pleased :-) As said earlier I think that they are good operators, and I really hope they find something of significance in Kaz - but do wish they had started to look in Kaz 8 years ago once Kounrad was up and running. First mover advantage etc. Or possibly they could buy an exploration company in Kaz that has already found something. Fingers crossed they get very lucky very quickly with the exploration (takes 5-10 years to get going with a good size mining project). | gosoftly7
09/2/2024 22:51 | Guessing there was a broker downgrade somewhere today. The RNS showed someone increasing their holding, so wouldn't be the reason. Edit - copper slipped back to $3.70/lb, so could be the reason. Divi yield looking more attractive than ever. I have a worst-case scenario of 14p for 2024, and most likely scenario of 16p. Tuck it in the ISA, reinvest the divi, and await a more realistic valuation. I don't mind days like this - we need them to make money on the market. | bozzy_s
09/2/2024 21:33 | Took a small starter this afternoon The fundamentals and dividend look fabulous but the chart has broken down now hence just a small starter position | basem1
09/2/2024 21:23 | A 10p drop today is madness!! No reason for it. It’s making money, pay a big divi and no debt. It was valued more when it had big debt. Doesn’t make sense? | 2603
09/2/2024 14:30 | I don't think Sasa deserves a double very. LoM's 5 years longer than Kounrad for a start. Good to see Fidelity pretty much doubling up. | dougmachin
08/2/2024 07:24 | A very good write up in last weeks Investor Chronicle on CAML. To summarise it says what a fantastic operation Kounrad has been and how much more valuable CAML would have been without Sasa. Basically Sasa has been a very, very poor investment. | gosoftly7

27/1/2024 14:39 | The decision to explore in KZH suggests they have reconsidered looking for a new acquisition, at least for now. | mondex
23/1/2024 21:43 | Why roll the dice on exploring/ acquiring, just run down existing assets, why invest more if current assets undervalued? | rjmahan
23/1/2024 18:27 | Exploring is a whole different ball game though. Sensible they start to do it when there is no debt and have two profit making ventures under their belt. It's an expensive game with no guarantee of getting a penny back. Let's hope they find something worth digging up. | kael
23/1/2024 14:00 | There is much to like about the CAML management. They operate the facilities they have well and responsibly. They are quick to deal with issues - as we saw at Sasa. But they have been in Kaz all this time and belatedly deciding to explore - after many other have had first choice years after CAML were in Kaz. Sasa, although well run, has provided minimal returns. In all their time operating they should have been going through the prospective lad in Kaz - great reputation as operators, deservedly with all the goodwill that this generates. But substantial developments where they have a great advantage - nothing. A real pity. Really good operators. Wish they had looked for something substantial. Fingers crossed that the new exploration finds something. | gosoftly7

16/1/2024 14:56 | I've just bought back in after watching from the sidelines since the beginning of October. Not 10% unfortunately, just starting to rebuild a holding a bit at a time depending on the market. I hope the recent trend of higher highs continues and I will buy the dips if it does. It's been a tough year, good luck all. | melton john
