1.35 million sold after the bell at 91p following substantial purchases earlier in trading at 93p . Just doesn’t make sense to me . Let’s see what tomorrow brings

seasonally though the gold price dips at the end of each year so a deeper low is possible worth noting

Blackrock is just one company. Have some confidence in your own investment strategy folks rather the trying to read the tea leaves.

No,I think that Black Rock is probably a bit of both when conditions are right and there are quick profits to be made.

So what we are saying is Blackrock is basically a trader not an investment organisation then.

Yes,that is what we are here for.

The only fly in the ointment is that we need to have deep pockets and buy big when the price drops so that we can gain meaningful amounts of money on modest percentage profits.

We also need to have even more money on hand so that we can chase a sound share down in ever increasing amounts to seriously lower our break even.

If we have that much money, though, what are we doing here?
We should be living it up on the French Riviera or similar places. :-)

Spacedust:

Yes, so basically, they are trading it and taking the profits as things are a bit uncertain with this trade war business and possible interest rate rises, etc.

Put it this way....they bought tens of millions at 90p or so before and sold at 108p bagging a 20% profit.

Now they bought back in at 90p again. I think they probably bagged few millions of pounds in profit

Wallywoo: re; Blackrock holdings,up and down all the time:

Yes,I have noticed that, but we are only 10 days or so away from the end of the month and the price is low enough for me to take the risk.

Also at the moment,I don't see the gold price going much lower.

I am committed now (or I should be):-) I will have to buy Centamin up on the way down if it does drop again.

Anybody knows that Blackrock's holding level goes up and down all the time with this stock. Means nothing, less than a month ago they were selling a few (it is the same for many mining stocks Blackrock are involved with, don't ask me why).

I think this will recover, but don't read anything into Blackrock's holding

Have you noticed that the brokers have been putting some spread on Lamprell these last few days to try and get it moving?

Been pretty reliable until now. At 89p it can only go one way substantively IMO

Hugely oversold IMO from 160p down from 120p and then 85p on revised production and grades.., so I started accumulating, and again this morning at 89p..

We know Q3 production numbers are down but this should be now built into the share price at this level, we also know that we are through the low grade ore and into the normal Sulphide ore for Q4, I can see the share price back at c125p by Xmas/Jan as the improved Q4 numbers are released and filter through, then back to 150P for Q1/2-2019..

It was poor form for the management to not know or advise of the poor grades coming when the FY2018 guidance was released in the FY2017 report, but it is what it is and hopefully we are into 3 or 4 years of sustainable numbers and recovery..
