I will stay out for now in case it goes lower.
I have topped up on Rio Tinto instead which seams more stable, although less profitable.

CC - even so it doesn't warrant a 12% drop on this morning's news imho

my interest on this stock is three areas 1) future gold price 2) strong cash position 3) high dividend yield. Which is why I'm accumulating currently £15K worth looking to add pre 90p levels. The directors bought heavily around £1.30 level also is a bonus. As long as the company position doesn't change dramatically then that is my take. The market looks concerned about investor information being unreliable which is what is causing the discount as well as mining stock sector is taking a bit of a hit also. That needs fixing from their management you can't over egg projections the market likes surprise to the upside not the downside

2019 will be a year of falls everywhere except gold.

Spacedust:Re:all the miners are down:

My thoughts and opinions, gathered from various articles that I have recently read online.
Randgold,Highland Gold,Rio Tinto have all dropped this morning.

Centamin seems to drop more in this situation, possibly because they do not hedge against the price of gold dropping.

Gold price at 1203.
So maybe the market is concerned about the fall out from a possibly escalating trade war with China and possible interest rate rises etc.

America is running the risk of losing face and having to back down to avoid large numbers of unemployment within all the import companies and business who buy, sell, use and sell on these Chinese goods.

America accounts for only about 3.3% of China's total exports and China's total exports for 2017 were only about 18.5% of their GDP.
China has said that it can reduce costs of its good by the amount that Trump wants to increase the total import duties so there would no gain in taxes for America.
If America pushes the import tax up too high,China could stop exporting to America and still survive but America would have massive unemployment with the associated industries and companies that have been relying on these same imports.

I don't know how this would effect interest rate and gold,however but thanks for listining. :-}

The lower grade ore transition has enabled you and I to buy in at these ridiculously cheap share price levels. You have to look ahead folks, 580,000 oz yearly from now on!

Agree 105p.

Black rock increase from 14% to 15.5%
Then back to 15%

Many they knew something hence reduced fairly quickly having increased days before. The same blackrock will now be adding.

the press are laying into Centamin on these reports today though - "CEY shares down >31 pct YTD; worst performer on the FTSE Midcap Index" and "Egypt-focused gold miner's shares down about 7 pct after co cuts annual production target for the second time this year". So it's confidence in their projections has hit their reputation by the looks of it

I agree with post 28052 in its entirety. Bought a shed load. Cash rich, no debt, gold cheap as chips, huge divi yield and 580,000 oz to be produced year on year!

time to spend the dividend. They hinted that q3 was going to be poor at denver. The op now has 3 years in this higher grade zone, the ug sounds as though it is coming along nicely and longer term is more important than the op.

lots of cash, stable (ish country) potential for other assets in egypt.

I do wish they would buy hummingbird, but that is just for my own gain :)

Matt, the total tally of shipments in q3 as announced in the news was 71.6k oz (using 86.2% purity)

There was only one shipment for September in the news. (384kg dore, or 10,642oz at 86.2% purity).

So no, the news reports should not be seen as the complete picture.
