08/10/2018 13:54 | Nobody in their right mind would say this company is worth less than 1 billion dollars. Add to that 300m dollars cash and you get to 86p/share. That would be the valuation of Centamin as if it were rock-bottom distressed, which it isn't. Fill your boots all day long at these prices, I say. | ![]() casual47

08/10/2018 11:43 | I think the Chinese economy may be hiding a lot of structural issues and I wouldn't be surprised if the next bubble to implode would happen in China. The trade war may weaken China's ability to keep these structural issues from coming into the full glare of daylight. Ultimately, imo, China's black box economy, effectively a communist sanctioned form of capitalism, is a contradiction in terms and sooner or later the systemic flaws inherent to such an impossible paradox will spill over into the real economy. | ![]() casual47

08/10/2018 11:42 | Very disappointed to see Randgold leave the UK so switched 20% into CEY at 92p . Any other profitable UK listed, div paying gold miners for me to look at ? I own the diversified mega caps : Rio , Glen , BHP etc and BlkRock World Mining . My thoughts given the weakness in precious metal prices and even greater weakness in gold , silver , plat shares is to increase holdings in this area , as they should perform well in a general equity market setback . Any views or quality ideas most welcome . | ![]() bench2

08/10/2018 11:36 | China's markets tumble after the central bank moves to spur the economy >China's stock markets fell more than 3.7 percent on Monday after the country's central bank announced measures to prop up the economy amid an ongoing trade war with the United States. >On Sunday, the People's Bank of China announced it would be cutting the amount of cash that banks have to hold as reserves from Oct. 15. | ![]() casual47
08/10/2018 11:32 | Casual47:Re:Re:negot I have just been reading about it on this link: It seems that America wants Canada and Mexico to have to notify the States if they negotiate/trade with other countries but this does not seem to have been accepted yet: The Trump administration is seeking to stop the EU, UK and Japan from striking separate trade deals with China as it tries to impose economic isolation on its Asian rival. The US’s revamped Nafta trade deal with Canada and Mexico includes a provision that would require its two neighbours to give notification of any trade negotiations with a “non-market economy”. That clause could also force those countries to disclose details of any talks and allow Washington to walk away from the Nafta agreement if such a separate deal were completed. The measure triggered a backlash in Canada, where critics said it enshrined a loss of sovereignty for Ottawa and limited its own trade policy. | ![]() cinquepercento
