Thought the price would have shot up even more with confirmation of H1 results,am I being greedy, have lost a few quid on these over the years.Hopefuly the price will creep up from now until the Milan game, but i suspect it may fall back slightly if we go out.Any opinions on this out there?

Should be looking at £75M-£80M revenue this year which should put Celtic in the top 15 in the Rich List. Beating Milan and getting through to the quarters will surely be worth another £5M revenue and that will be 90% or so profit. The question Celtic and other large clubs from small countires should be asking is how to compete with the Premiership. Next year the bottom club in the Premiership will get £27M from domestic TV. We get £1.5M for winning the SPL! If Celtic, Rangers, Ajax, Feyenoord, PSV, Benfica, Porto, Sporting, Anderlecht etc had any balls at all they'd form their own league. The top 16 teams from Scotland, Holland, Belgium, Portugal and maybe Denmark could form a fantastic league. TV companies would love it. Im sure Celtic could get 15M-20M TV revenues from something like that. UEFA couldnt stop it since theyd be breaking European Law. And UEFA couldnt stop the winners entering the CL (again breaking European Law).

techmark Not sure you've answered my question though :-) Debtors are up £6.5m which is the TV money owed to Celtic by UEFA for the CL group games. I was just confirming its not paid yet but in reality it should drop straight through to wipe out half the debt during the 2nd half. I guess it will already be included in turnover so 2nd half turnover will be down as expected subject to not winning the CL but debt will also fall substantially as the CL TV money is paid and removed from Debtors to either repaying loans or to cash balance on current assets. MickinVest, Debtors are people or companies that owe Celtic money, as opposed to creditors who Celtic owe money to. Whether they decided to use that money to pay off debt once it is received is up to the board. Regards

Tremendous set of results which factors in CL income and Nike payments together for the first time. Apart from the possibility of having to share CL income in some seasons we are looking at a set of figures which should be nearer the norm for Celtic. The underlying concern might be around the the level of renewal of season books and the impact that may have on 'guaranteed' income. Nevertheless these results are impressive and the timing of their release is spot on given the state of the huns as shown in their interims released yesterday. Celtic 46.7m turnover Celtic 17.9m profit Huns 23m turnover Huns 1.5m loss Well done wee Quinny and big Peter.

Bottom line should look better as I read it the CL TV money feeds through in 2nd half as normal, is that right reducing debt? 7. DEBTORS The increase in the level of debtors from 31 December 2005 of £6.58m is primarily a result of an increase in amounts receivable in respect of TV and other trading revenues as a result of Celtic being involved in Champions League European football this season together with increased amounts receivable in respect of player transfers.

Looks like Shaun Moloney is heading south...a good man, but even he is not making the team nowadays..lets hope that the Strac will extract the max out of Villa, as he did for Stil.
