02/5/2007 10:35 | CCP on the move again? Interestingly the Share MAg in their general listing of AIM shares says of Celtic's shares: 'did well this year thanks to getting so far in Europe... which will not be repeated next year' - HAve they got a crystal ball? are they 'Gers supporters? AS a neutral, I would still expect Celtic to have a good run ( even with the wee nupty-mothed Strachan- Manager of the Year eh! I can think of 8-9 other candidates, eg Craig Levein etc etc.). - Is he the fine strategist a champion team need? They tried! to play well against Hearts yet we were too strong in the end, with Kingston... The team will need a bit of quality new blood I expect in the close season. I suspect Hartley's not quite up to it ... Pressley's a stop gap, and again who would step into the Lennon role. Nakamura is pretty good, Riordan, etc. Oh dear I can see myself supporting them in Europe, as I assume Hearts won't get the 3rd place with Kingston out for the last 3 matches. | hectorp
29/4/2007 14:49 | Interesting Mick, and a Good match so far. Scotland On Sunday: Celtic Set to score with finance arm... ( Page 2 'Business') teamed up with Aegeon UK to launch Celtic FC Money to offer 'special advice' to the clubs supporters. Celtic FC money unveiled at todays match ... .. Aegeon's 'Origen' will offer Mortgages, Life Insurance Investments, annuities and pensions to supporters ( and no doubt thir relatives) " This service will make it more convenient for people to obtain Financial Advice" The Club will recieve part of the income freom any services bought. | hectorp
29/4/2007 14:49 | .. Well Mick we gubbed your lot and spoiled your party, though they deserve the party having done so well again this year. This new Insurance and Mortgage development could be very lucrative to Celtic, depending on the terms they have managed to get from the Brokers. | hectorp
29/4/2007 12:08 | Hector When valuing Celtic, worth taking this into account8>) Right off to see my lot gub your lot although getting excuses in early, we might take our eye off the ball celebrating the trophy presentation. The Ibrox Stadium and football training facilities, included within freehold land and buildings, acquired with the purchase of The Rangers Football Club plc are valued on a depreciated replacement cost basis. The most recent valuation was performed as at 30 June 2006 by Messrs. D.M. Hall, Chartered Surveyors on a depreciated replacement cost basis. The directors consider that there should be no uplift in the value of these properties as a result of this valuation, therefore, the properties continue to be valued at £121.47m which is the value on acquisition. The value at acquisition was determined by Messrs D.M. Hall as at 30 June 2003. | mickinvest
27/4/2007 17:03 | True market cap around 80million Hectorp,there are other types of shares... | louie76
27/4/2007 08:44 | On the move already today. | hectorp
26/4/2007 10:32 | Market cap £17.91 Million at yesterdays close according to ADVFN. around 30M shares in issue, value say 58p each mid price, = 18M. Whast the club ground and players and goodwill, product stream and sales of Celtic stuff is really worth is at least £150M. ADVFN also mention that the NAV net asset value of eacsh share is around 79 pence. The only reason this share is not over 100p now is that its a football club share. | hectorp
26/4/2007 10:24 | Hector, Do you honestly believe the market cap is £19M? Nearer 4 times that I believe. | lqs
26/4/2007 09:44 | Hector You'll be buying a season ticket soon. I've bought quite a few over the last week and bumped a few more off them for 10k and 20k just to keep them on their toes :>) Mick | mickinvest
25/4/2007 10:32 | Director buys more shares today... he knows they will rally more. Its also in his retirement fund, so its not money he thinks he is gambling with. - These are one of the best 3-4 football shares in the UK and one of the least valued - yet. Look at the market cap - around 19 million quid, yet the NAV is closer to 70P per share. so a 55p share, represents 'value' ( the club players and land etc) of at least £180M . THey should win the Cup, especially as Hibs are now out, though I dont think its so relevant to us here now. and have secured the Champions League place again. THe least they will do is have a run through the Winter. I see these shares at 75p by the ist day of the new Season. All we do NOT want to see is the Club raising more money on the back of these shares in the next few months. But as they are very much cheaper than when issued, that would really annoy long ternm shareholders. | hectorp
23/4/2007 16:17 | Could so easily have been 7 out of 7,but lets not be greedy... | louie76
23/4/2007 10:21 | Thanks Celtic , I'm up £300 quid over a week, I can buy my Hearts season ticket out of that. Or - I COULD do but I can't stand the current setup. - No I will stay with my Celtic shares, I suspect they will return me a couple of £K this year. | hectorp
23/4/2007 08:59 | Hectorp, Celtic need to negotiate the third qualifying round to reach the group stage. Hopefully this won't be too tricky. Well done the bhoys on winning the SPL. Five out of the last seven. | thwaiteuk
22/4/2007 18:55 | CONGRATULATIONS ALL AT CELTIC FC.SPL CHAMPIONS 2006-2007 | louie76
22/4/2007 17:46 | Shows how much some clubs are worth. Possibly £20-30M cap Celtic are worth 5-10 times this. Celtic win the Premier League Cup and are assured of Champions League football with direct access to the main tiers. This is worth some decent pence on the share price by August - maybe 10-20p. | hectorp
17/4/2007 20:24 | No Hermana because I've closed out of PCI for the moment , will be back dont worry. Celtic share price with its 20M cap is very undervalued on its international brand potential, Footie potential and income and mainly brand income. and I think its also iunderestimated even by the club's business managers. Let ME take over marketing please!!! The club has also got to the Finals of the Scottish cup and you expect they have to be beating Hibs there. Celtic will be in the Champions league again next season. An English Premier club has to envy the way Celtic can do this each year. 70-90p share price here in a few more months. Pity I missed 25p! | hectorp

17/4/2007 19:08 | Hectorp,Celtic is a huge potential brand and did you see PCI had a good day? | hermana
17/4/2007 19:05 | Yes, there is clearly a great deal of hidden value in Celtic's portfolio. The market cap even today appears to be under £20M sterling. There is scope for this to at least double or more. | hectorp
17/4/2007 14:23 | A great deal of money has been made in Ireland over the last few years in property as a result of which there are quite a few very very wealthy individuals who could buy Celtic or take a very big stake with their pocket money before injecting more into the club - to me it's a win win situation -it's already a well run business some Celtic supporters believe the playing side suffers at the expense of a tight business but you only have to look at the Leeds Uniteds of the football world to se what happens if a club is not run along business lines. One day the investment world will wake up to this great franchise | tuffbet
17/4/2007 14:17 | Must point out that this is despite low trade volume. | sruk77
17/4/2007 14:16 | 40k buys v 58k sells so far - I think there is profit taking occurring. I'll buy back at 51p | sruk77 |
