25/10/2009 16:21 | "Im thinking of buying in but want a substantial amount ie 1 mill plus.." Good luck, Mr_Wicked! Yes, that is the correct number of shares in issue. The shares are very tightly held, though, so 1m might be difficult to accumulate - take a look at the major shareholder list: Neil Craven 14,287,391 18.92% SMS Media Limited (note 1) 10,680,062 14.14% Atlas Group of Companies 8,645,635 11.45% Harkness Trading Limited (note 2) 6,687,500 8.86% MTouche Technology Berhad 4,500,000 5.96% Also, I think around 6m more can be accounted for between myself and three other people I know from the boards So, that's getting on for 70% of the shares accounted for leaving only around 20-25m shares unaccounted for. No doubt if you looked at the complete shareholder list, then there would be plenty of other holding on tightly too. I wonder what price the market makers would offer you on a 1m share purchase? | ![]() the analyst
25/10/2009 11:22 | That's a great spot, zangdook! | ![]() the analyst
25/10/2009 06:45 | analyst are listed twice in the list of websites. | zangdook
24/10/2009 15:40 | Zangdook - hopefully they are cheap then lol analyst - i also read in forusms that the freeview channels are a lot "tamer" and some customers are complaining. BS girls in the forums have said that they have to comply with ofcom (or "off com", as one girl wrote, lol) regulations. It seems that cellcast are doing everything they can to comply, if this is the case then I am sure ofcom will be happy, especially now that Freeview have pushed the channels higher up the pecking order, adopting a similar stance to SKY ! With tame freeview channels, the web shows become all the more interesting !! RV | recto verso
24/10/2009 14:45 | Hi RV, In the absence of LDM's research, I've looked at the live internet show quite a few times over the past weeks to follow progess (purely professional, you know, as an investor...) I've noticed that the shows are A LOT more naughty than they were a year ago and also that they are taking A LOT more calls than they were a year ago. I imagine that this is no coincidence I also noticed that they are employing a few older and bigger models to do the shows. The fact they are getting so many more calls, using (presumably) cheaper models should be excellent for profits | ![]() the analyst
24/10/2009 14:35 | "(there seems to be an endless supply)" I think they get them in Battersea | zangdook
24/10/2009 14:30 | Also, having read the forums it seems that the live webshows are becmoing very popular due to the fact that the girls can be A LOT naughtier. All very promising. I reckon we could see £400 - 500k profit at year end. | recto verso
24/10/2009 09:01 | Anyone know if these can be bought on a spreadbet? Can't find any company so far that will allow longs on cellcast. | ![]() topgunns
22/10/2009 18:35 | Analyst - I agree. Topgun - it would be nice to see the share price hold at 2p. I also agree that the results are partly responsible for the recent share price move. | recto verso
22/10/2009 10:01 | Consolidate above 2p then moves on i think. | ![]() topgunns
22/10/2009 09:00 | With regards to an announcement. I think the share price has risen as people have looked at the results. No other reason. If we can work out that they might earn 500k-1 million next year, so can others. | ![]() topgunns
22/10/2009 04:14 | Quote from Ft.com "There was also heavy volume in Solo Oil, up 41.9 per cent to 1.1p. Traders believe it could be close to announcing its first deal, the acquisition of a Colombian oil producer." HINT HINT | kerrison123
21/10/2009 23:59 | Yes, RV - seems to me that they now need to make the announcement to the market, as they said they would Although it's been seven months since that initial announcement, it was only the last few days that all the channels were embedded. The financial impact of having these new channels will only be obvious to those following very closely, leaving the majority of investors unaware of the news So, you would think the company would be obliged to let all investors know about the recent progress through official route, especially with the share price spiking as it has done. In fact, the share price movement alone should be good enough reason to announce the good news officially | ![]() the analyst
21/10/2009 20:33 | A further announcement will be made in due course ? I think you may have hit the nail on the head there Analyst. | recto verso
21/10/2009 19:47 | The last big rise was in March, when we got this statement in response: "RNS Number : 6214P Cellcast plc 27 March 2009 Cellcast plc ('Cellcast' or 'the Company') Conditional agreement The Directors of Cellcast plc ("the Company") have noted the recent increase in the Company's share price and confirm that the Company has entered into a conditional agreement which would result in an increase in the broadcasting airtime available to the Cellcast Group. The agreement is subject to the satisfaction of certain conditions which have yet to be met. A further announcement will be made in due course" | ![]() the analyst
21/10/2009 19:45 | The articles also mentions Freeview: "Freeview has become by far the biggest service offering digital TV, with 18 million households owning a Freeview device and some 43 million units 23 million set-top boxes and 20 million integrated digital TVs sold since it launched in 2002, according to the media regulator Ofcom." Those Freeview numbers dwarf the 9m Sky subscribers, which just shows how big these new channels are going to be for Cellcast | ![]() the analyst
21/10/2009 19:43 | Wow, great figures for Freesat! "Freesat which makes satellite TV available without subscription, for the cost of a set-top box and dish installation said it had increased its cumulative sales by 50% from 400,000 in May to 600,000 this month" | ![]() the analyst
21/10/2009 19:16 | If there is fundamental reason for this recent rise, I would guess management would have to release an RNS to confirm it... Therefore if no news is released soon i would say the company is due to make an announcement OR is making sufficient money to justify the rise !! | recto verso
21/10/2009 18:54 | I'm calling it at 8-10p trading levels very very soon. That's a minimum price level based on £1m profits this year. Next year we should see £2m profits and also millions from their planned sale of the Asian business It is well-recognised now that paid-for participation TV is necessary for the industry to survive. The media are converging and ofcom are having to take notice. They can't and won't want to do anything to destroy the industry (which is what over-regulation would do) Even if ofcom wanted to regulate, they couldn't. As we were made aware in the responses to the initial proposals, it would be illegal under EU law for ofcom to BAN people taking part in Cellcast programs Roll on March when we will be good to go with ofcom and will have produced results showing big profits being generated from the new channels 10p by March? | stefanos2
21/10/2009 12:42 | Analyst, your last post is right. I hadn't considered those points. For the meantime, i'm expecting little. 4p would be a great start. But who knows. There have been lots of false dawns but this time it's different.... | ![]() topgunns |
