28/3/2009 12:23 | At 1% of the company (a tiny amount in cash terms), i'm not adding. If management ever delivers a one million profit, i'll be stunned and a bit richer. | topgunns
28/3/2009 12:04 | TopgunNS, Agreed, management has been far from spectacular, too many mismanaged fingers in pies worldwide. Now the business is 95% UK centric and only concentrates on a handful of revenues streams, let's hope management have better control... ... one thing positive to say about management is that they always seem to pull a rabbit out of the hat when required (i.e. the selling off of Cellcat Asia to a VC company, the £1.4m channel swap deal and yesterdays announcement of a deal to secure more broadcasting output)... ... i know Neil Craven knows the ins and outs of the business, and as a 20% shareholder has faith in the management, he put his money where his mouth is at much higher shareprice levels too... ... and also the fact that mangement have personally sunk hundreds of thousands into cellcast( most recently putting in £280k at 4p)... should make sure their minds are focus on delivering profits and shareholder value. An interesting company to watch. | ldmachin
28/3/2009 11:27 | Company has never been managed properly. That's been the problem. If they can produce some proper profits, none of that matters though. Half a million profit would be a total game changer. | topgunns
28/3/2009 10:51 | TopgunNS, There is lots of potential here. Adult and Psychic on both TV and Web output combined with premium rate phones lines. It's a great business to be in with many lucrative opportunitues... ... If managed correctly this company should easily be able to make £1m net profit per annum based on the market and their current position in the market (they are the largest company doing this sort of things on SKY TV, and the only company doing this on Freeview at present). If the company can get the business in order in the UK... then they should be able to start replicating it in other countries a they have much experience on this front. Time for management to get their house in order and deliver. There have been signs for months that they are doing just that, and the RNS yesterday confirms that deals are being sought and done which all aids the cause. Market cap with the bid at 0.8p, is currently a meager £600k approx. One to watch with interest... ... be interested to see how Cellcast Asia plays out too, we've sizable assest, £2m+, with that venture. | ldmachin
28/3/2009 10:35 | This share has been priced to fail and that could easily happen. But the rewards are potentially massive so it was always worth a punt. 100,000 profit on a PE of 10 would be a market cap of 1 million ie 1.3p 500,000 profit on a PE of 10 would be a market cap of 5 million ie 6.6p 1,000,000 profit on a PE of 10 would be a market cap of 10 million ie 13p Personally, i only hold just under 1% of this dog share and don't really care too much what happens. Could easily do a qxl or disappear into oblivion. | topgunns
27/3/2009 19:02 | Just to jinx it, the chart just turned bullish. Mentioned it needed to hit 1p a few days ago. | topgunns
27/3/2009 17:49 | ok - no one has mentioned it, so i will The agreement is subject to the satisfaction of certain conditions which have yet to be met. In my view, the above is more likely to refer to the financial state of CLTV than waiting for the ofcom decision - often a large corporation will not sign a deal with a minnow unless it can be satisfied concerning the finances so i suggest the delay is while cltv gain further funding, via whatever means they can and yes..........i've seen it before several times, so i'm just applying a little experience here not a deramp, as i could not realy give a toss about the recent gains.........done incredibily well in gaming, energy, mining stocks this year so am posting without any 'green eyed monster' so you've been told and warned take it or leave it | 21st century media company
27/3/2009 15:53 | There are currently 75,513,224 shares in issue. With the bid price at 0.8p that puts the company on a market cap of a lowly £604k. If they can produce the £1m net profit per annum that should be achievable easily given the nature of the business (and with the help of partnerships with companies like Channel 5)... then annual profits will be nearly twice as much as the current market cap. Not to mention the £2m+ worth of assets we have with our share of Cellcast Asia. | ldmachin
27/3/2009 15:24 | "The Directors of Cellcast plc ("the Company") have noted the recent increase in the Company's share price and confirm that the Company has entered into a conditional agreement which would result in an increase in the broadcasting airtime available to the Cellcast Group. The agreement is subject to the satisfaction of certain conditions which have yet to be met. A further announcement will be made in due course." - Looks to me like this concerns the partyland.tv deal with channel 5 for freeview channel 50. At the moment broadcasting is between 1am-5am. Maybe they are seeing how things go and if all goes well then Channel 5 broadcasting will enter into a larger partnership agreement with Cellcast to broadcast more interactive television content (which is what Cellcast specialise in) thus this will lead to an increase in the broadcasting airtime available that cellcsat allude to... ... that' how i read it anyway. | ldmachin
27/3/2009 14:26 | Does seem that things might just be falling into place. Yes, the 'conditional' bit is almost certainly the ofcom decision, so we just need that to come through and perhaps we could get back to the 4-5p range. With positive ofcom news, they "should" be making £1m+ EBITDA and with cash in the bank, no debt and a growing business you'd imagine they should really deserve a market cap of £4m+, even in these markets However, should Cellcast Asia get funding or, even better, get the exit the Directors are looking for, then perhaps we could be heading back to those 10p days? Then there's the sumo website and brand. Like Recto Verso mentioned, there could be some opportunity there if a del is made with Channel 5 - it's just the sort of thing they would be able to exploit to the full, imo All too early to tell, right now, but promising... | the analyst

27/3/2009 13:33 | RNS Number : 6214P Cellcast plc 27 March 2009 Cellcast plc ('Cellcast' or 'the Company') Conditional agreement The Directors of Cellcast plc ("the Company") have noted the recent increase in the Company's share price and confirm that the Company has entered into a conditional agreement which would result in an increase in the broadcasting airtime available to the Cellcast Group. The agreement is subject to the satisfaction of certain conditions which have yet to be met. A further announcement will be made in due course. | stefanos2
27/3/2009 12:35 | stefanos2, the analyst, Didn't catch your post stefanos2, please repost? | ldmachin
27/3/2009 12:30 | Good Stuff! Let's hope things really are coming together here... | the analyst
27/3/2009 12:30 | An agreement, LDM It will, as you can imagine, be dependent on the ofcom decision. The ofcom side of things is looking good, though As far as I can gather it would be illegal for ofcom to effectively BAN people phoning in to take part in Cellcast programs whilst still allowing all the quizes etc on other channels Paid-for participation is going to be necessary for the industry to survive | stefanos2
27/3/2009 11:25 | stefanos2, Could be a lot of things pal... good trading figures, cellcast asia funding agreed, MBO on the cards, etc, etc... Or are you thinking it's because of partyland.tv getting airtime on a Channel 5 broadcasting owned channel on freeview?... and this is maybe a partnership between Cellcast and Channel 5... with Channel 5 maybe taking a stake in Cellcast? Go on pal, give us a clue... | ldmachin
27/3/2009 11:14 | Come on LDM, I'm stunned that you've not figured it out yet, lol!! It's out there, pal... | stefanos2
27/3/2009 11:09 | At a guess, i'd say that someone has seen or heard rumours about the trading figures for 2008 and Q1 2009 so far... and taking advantage of the low shareprice (market cap is currently approx. £700k which is still low). ... as i've said for months, the signs are there that things aren't going to bad. Hopefully the next update will confirm this. | ldmachin
27/3/2009 11:05 | This share is my main share holding, and now my last 2 purchases for 0.75p and 1.25p are finally back to good value for my money. However I will be holding until the price is the same for the ones I paid 2.325p and 3.25p. In total my investment here is £2,000. | lord santafe
27/3/2009 10:55 | I love the smell of MMs burning in the morning... Remember 68.89% of this companies stock is out of public hands: That only leaves 32% approx out there for the MMs to try and balance orders from. The holders on here must hold at least 10% between them and at much higher average prices... ... the MMs are gonna struggle to fill the big orders that are going through... Sit tight and don't sell, we've got the MMs by the balls at the moment. | ldmachin
27/3/2009 10:53 | Someone with a snippet on news? | ucretin
27/3/2009 10:03 | Looks like stake building to me (maybe by a company CLTV have done a deal with?). Big trades (another 0.5% of the company bought in a single trade this morning)... ... you don't pay for big chuncks of a company, at well over the market asking price, in a short period of time unless you know that something is going to cause the shareprice to rise to over the price you paid. ... remember, don't sell, make the MMs lose out on these trades, as they don't have the stock to fill them at present make them force the bid above 1p for them to be able to get the stock to fill the orders. | ldmachin |
